Japan Game Awards 2021 winners announced

Monster Hunter Rise

At TGS today, the winners were announced for the Japan Game Awards 2021. A number of Switch games were selected across various categories with Monster Hunter Rise ultimately taking home the top prize alongside Ghost of Tsushima.

Note: Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, It Takes Two, and Ghost of Tsushima were runner-ups

Interestingly, this is the first time since 2014 that more than one winner was chosen for the Grand Award. Yo-kai Watch and Monster Hunter 4, a pair of 3DS games, were both selected that year.
