Posted on July 15, 2020 by in Switch

Coming to Switch on September 10th in Japan, Metal Max Xeno: Reborn has suffered a couple delays, but today it seems we are receiving a large trove of information courtesy of Gematsu. Take a look at introductions to new characters, as well as a look at some of the systems in the game, and last  — but certainly not least, a bit of detail surrounding the game’s voice acting. Info and photos after the break:

■ 1. Po-M’s awakening! The century’s end Dystokio tour with the beautiful android begins!

Po-M, whose official name is “Post-Human Modified Class M,” was a navigator that provided the player useful information from the base in the original Metal Max Xeno, but as a new element in Metal Max Xeno: Reborn, by meeting certain conditions in additional scenarios based on your closeness with each character, she can literally be reborn and travel with you throughout the vast land of Dystokio.

A Unique Skill Tree

Po-M levels up slower compared to other characters, but the skills she can acquire include those useful in battle such as the arts of other playable characters.

Build Up your Closeness with Po-M and Await Her Awakening

Before anything, proceed as much as possible with actions to increase your closeness to Po-M. If you feel a change in interaction with her when you return to the Iron Base, then the opportunity has finally arrived. By properly responding to her request, Po-M can join your party as a playable character.

■ 2. Enjoy training the unrivaled and unique battle dog Pochi, who makes his return!

Pochi is a battle dog who joins your party by clearing a designated quest. Where normally only three characters can head out as a party, Pochi is the exceptional fourth party member. Pochi’s skill tree consists of distinct skills unique to dogs that sets it apart from a human skill tree. In addition to obtaining skill points by leveling up, you can also obtain points by eating Pochi’s favorite food “Woof Woof Gourmet” at the Iron Base.

Pochi also has a complete set of dedicated equipment. Starting his initial “Pochi Gun,” weapons of various attributes including those with high firepower are being prepared. Pochi can also be equipped with accessories and armor, so once you save up enough money, head to the shop and buy as much as you can.
