Modern Combat Blackout balance patch incoming

Gameloft has announced a new balance patch update for Modern Combat Blackout. For the most patch, a ton of weapon adjustments are being implemented.

The full patch notes are as follows:

GENERAL

  • Aim Assist enabled for Multiplayer

Bug Fix

  • Fixed a Military Support visual bug for Time Limited Events where acquired Boosters’ icons were not being displayed properly.
  • Fixed incorrect item descriptions for some items (armors, camos, trinkets, killsigns) that can only be unlocked via Daily Deal in the Black Market.
  • Performance stability update to avoid FPS drops.

WEAPON BALANCE

  • Overall improved Tier 1 to Tier 3 Weapons across all Classes to provide a competitive edge against higher-tiered weapons. Starting players shouldn’t have such a difficult time facing veterans now.
  • Reduced damage and range for weapons with the Target Lock function.
  • Improved Heavy and Support Class performance.

Assault Rifles

  • COMPAKT-665 [Tier 1]
    • Increased Max Damage from 17 to 19
  • UFIA PSD-2 [Tier 3]
    • Increased Max Damage from 18 to 19
  • PR39 [Tier 7]
    • Increased Min Damage from 10 to 12
    • Reduced Max Damage from 17 to 16

Shotguns

  • Shotguns should now behave as the short-range burst weapons they are.
    • Weapon Range reduced from 100 to 30

    • Increased Min Damage from 54 to 60
    • Increased Max Damage from 126 to 138

  • Maelstrom [Tier 4]
    • Reduced Min Damage from 32 to 16
    • Reduced Max Damage from 44 to 24
  • VERR POWER [Prestige]
    • Reduced Min Damage from 200 to 85
    • Reduced Max Damage from 200 to 85
  • SPEC-38A [Prestige]
    • Reduced Min Damage from 70 to 40
    • Reduced Max Damage from 90 to 50

SHORT-BARREL RIFLES

  • A lot of negative experiences stemmed from this weapon being unbalanced.
  • AAW-1 [Tier 1]
    • Reduced Min Damage from 8 to 6
    • Reduced Max Damage from 10 to 8
    • Reduced Weapon Range from 200 to 40
    • Decreased Target Lock Range from 100 meters to 20 meters
    • Increased Target Lock Time from 0 to 1 second

TURRETS

  • Turrets should not have the same lifespan as a player. So we reduced overall Turret Health by 50%.
  • Turrets shouldn’t deal as much damage as a player either. So we reduced overall Turret Damage by 30% – 40%
  • Micro Turret [Tier 1]
    • Weapon Range Decreased from 20 to 15
  • Assault Turret[Tier 3]
    • Reduced Min Damage from 10 to 7
    • Reduced Max Damage from 10 to 7
  • Sniper Turret [Tier 4]
