More Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment Switch footage, length and taking a cue from Majora’s Mask

IGN has shared a few new videos containing more gameplay from Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment. We’ve rounded them up below.
As a bit of an aside, Specter of Torment should be about as long as the original Shovel Knight. Yacht Club Games’ Sean Velasco also noted that Specter of Torment is to Shovel Knight as Majora’s Mask is to Ocarina of Time.
Velasco told IGN: “A lot the elements are the same [as the original Shovel Knight], but it has a darker, scarier feel. NPCs you knew before may show up but in a different way.” Various elements were put in to connect the two experiences in different ways. Shovel Knight has bird statues that vomit rainbows, but in Specter of Torment, you have to battle living, breathing birds that vomit rainbows. In other words, you’re fighting the creature the statues were crafted after.
