Nintendo updated its Japanese support site earlier this week for the upcoming Nintendo Classic Mini: Famicom. The company answered about a dozen questions about the the hardware. Most would probably agree that the big takeaway here is the length of the different cables.

Q: What is Nintendo Classic Mini: Famicom?
A: The Nintendo Classic Mini: Famicom is a palm-sized Famicom console with 30 games pre-installed.

Q: Is it sold in limited amounts?
A: No, it isn’t. (Pre-orders may end after a certain amount is reached, but it’s not limited production)

Q: Can I connect Wii controllers or other market USB/wireless controllers?
A: No, you can’t. You can only use the controllers attached here. (The USB slot is for supplying power)

Q: Can I use monitors (TV/PC) without HDMI slots for display?
A: No, you can’t.

Q: Can I add more software through downloading or other means?
A: No, you can’t. Only the 30 pre-installed games are playable.

Q: How long are the attached cables?
A: The USB cable (for charging) is about 150cm, HDMI cable is about 150cm, and controller cables are about 80cm each.

A: No, it isn’t. You need to connect the power supply at all times when playing.

A: No, you can’t.

Q: Do I need the AC adapter for Nintendo Classic Mini: Famicom in order to play?
