Nintendo updates Mario’s Japanese bio again, says he is a plumber after all

Nintendo caused quite a stir with Mario a few months ago. Back in September, fans noticed that the character’s Japanese bio had been changed slightly.
It updated to the following, suggesting that Mario had stopped working as a plumber:
All around sporty, whether it’s tennis or baseball, soccer or car racing, he [Mario] does everything cool. As a matter of fact, he also seems to have worked as a plumber a long time ago…
Good news: the bio has updated once again, and mentions that he hasn’t retired from his original profession. There’s an added line that states “his occupation is plumber. However, his activity is not confined to that area”.
So Mario hasn’t left the plumbing business after all. We can all rest easy now.
