NPD reveals the best-selling games in the US each year since 1995

NPD analyst Mat Piscatella has revealed more classic data. A short while ago, Piscatella published a listing of the best-selling games in the United States each year since 1995. Of course, 2018 isn’t over yet, so this year isn’t included.

The list is as follows:

2017 – Call of Duty: WWII
2016 – Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
2015 – Call of Duty: Black Ops III
2014 – Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
2013 – Grand Theft Auto V
2012 – Call of Duty: Black Ops II
2011 – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
2010 – Call of Duty: Black Ops
2009 – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
2008 – Rock Band
2007 – Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
2006 – Madden NFL 07
2005 – Madden NFL 06
2004 – Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
2003 – Madden NFL 2004
2002 – Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
2001 – Madden NFL 2002
2000 – Pokemon Stadium
1999 – Donkey Kong 64
1998 – Zelda: Ocarina of Time
1997 – Mario Kart 64
1996 – Super Mario 64

Piscatella said that the best-selling games are now able to generate over 5x the dollar volume the top selling games of the late 90’s could.
