To celebrate the upcoming launch of this unique game, which has already taken Japan by storm, it was revealed in the latest Nintendo Direct presentation that the Special Edition Animal Crossing: New Leaf Nintendo 3DS XL will be coming to Europe as well. Senscape’s horror adventure game Asylum could land on the Wii U in the future. The game’s developer has said that it is “interested in porting Aslyum to Wii U at some point.” The PC and iPad versions are taking center stage for the time being, but it sounds like the title will be hitting the eShop at some point in the future.

Activision is due for a new Call of Duty reveal soon. For the past few years, the company has announced new entries anytime between late April and mid-May, with a more proper blowout taking place at E3.

The situation won’t be any different this year. We do know that a new Call of Duty game is coming, and if you’re interested in the first details, you should be on the lookout. Activision community manager Dan Amrich says that information is “coming soon” and “it should be here no later than E3.”

Amrich said in a recent YouTube video:

“If you’re looking for information on the future, it’s coming soon. It’s just not here yet. And it should be here no later than E3. Just be a little patient and I think you’ll hear some more information very soon.”

Nintendo has been rather secretive when it comes to The Wonderful 101’s release date. The last time the publisher mentioned Platinum Games’ Wii U project, it was set to launch in the first half of 2013.

Time is running out. And at this point, it’s completely unknown when Wii U owners can expect the game’s arrival. But here’s a possible hint from Nintendo – the company’s German press server lists the title for a June 6 release.

I’m a bit skeptical of that date given how little we’ve heard about the game in recent months, but you never know…

Muse Games had previously expressed some interest in bringing Guns of Icarus Online: Adventure Mode to the Wii U, noting that it had been in touch with Nintendo about possibly releasing the game on the company’s console.

CEO Howard Tsao has since told Nintendo Life that he intends to apply for developer status “in the coming months”. Once this happens, a Wii U version of Guns of Icarus Online: Adventure Mode will likely progress.

He said:

“I haven’t gone through the dev application process yet, but I think I’m going to, especially given the level of integration with Unity. I don’t have a time line yet, as we’ll still be working on improving the game and with ground work on Adventure Mode. But hopefully in the coming months, we can fit some time in for application and development work.”

Teyon has announced that a “significant update” is coming to Bird Mania 3D. Details have not yet been revealed, but the company is promising actual information for later in the year.

Teyon CEO Mateusz Makowiec did say the following about the future update:

“We have received many positive reactions from fans of the Nintendo 3DS title with them wanting more of Bird Mania. As we continue to strongly support Nintendo platforms we have decided to release a significant update to the original Bird Mania 3D.”

So basically I pulled an IGN “rewind theatre” thing on The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past II, pointing out some things you may not have noticed in the original trailer. Enjoy!

Bringing titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Star Fox 64 3D to the 3DS eShop was a smart move for Nintendo. In the US, 20% of sales for both games have come from digital this year. Art Academy and Brain Age also managed to see 15-25% digital penetration, according to a report from Shacknews.

We heard earlier today that a third of Fire Emblem: Awakening’s sales in North America resulted in digital sales. Nintendo says that “over half” of those who purchased the game have also bought downloadable content.
