Developed by renowned Japanese games studio CyberConnect2, Solatorobo: Red the Hunter is the spiritual successor to the PlayStation classic Tail Concerto, and features a vibrant anime art style and a unique fantasy world of floating islands and airships. Solatorobo’s soundtrack is equally memorable, with music composed by famed Japanese musician Chikayo Fukuda (.hack series), and both the game’s Opening and Ending songs were sung by LeiN (Tomoyo Mitani and Chikayo Fukuda).

Yesterday we saw that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D climbed back into the top ten rankings of the NPD charts. Today we’ve discovered just how much the title sold.

In August, the title sold 84,000 units. The small boost in sales could be attributed to the 3DS price drop that went into effect last month. It’s possible that many gamers purchased Zelda alongside their new 3DS system.

After disappearing for almost a year, Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright will finally reemerge next week. The game’s official website has revealed that a special stage show will be held during TGS. We don’t know what will be shown, but I imagine that many new details will be shared. A new trailer wouldn’t hurt either.

The stage show will take place on September 17.

Weezer add to their impressive 12 songs playable in Rock Band with another amazing pack of hits. “Weezer Pack 04” lands this Tuesday and brings 3 of the band’s biggest songs to the Rock Band catalog. From the band’s 5th album, Make Believe, “Perfect Situation” makes its way to the store. “Perfect Situation” spent 4 weeks atop the Billboard Modern Rock charts and makes a perfect addition to any pop rock fan’s catalog. The pack also features two songs from 2001’s Weezer (commonly referred to as “The Green Album”) –“Island in the Sun” and “Hash Pipe”, the latter of which features the band’s first Pro Guitar/Bass upgrade!

Reminder: It’s tonight!

Game Night is once again scheduled for Friday night. You guys know the deal: it’ll kick off at 8 PM EDT.

I’m aware that some of you requested an earlier start time last week. I’m not entirely sure that I can accomodate this request due to my rather hectic schedule. But I’d like to hear suggestions on: a) when you would like to see Game Night start and b) which games you’re interested in playing.
