Nintendo of Europe will be holding a live stream of the Nintendo’s 3DS event beginning at 3 PM CET. You can access the stream right here. We haven’t heard of a similar setup in North America, but we’ll let you know if anything changes.

The latest issue of Japanese magazine Friday contains an article regarding players’ experience while playing the 3DS at Nintendo World 2011. According to the magazine, many attendees felt dizzy within 10 minutes of play time. Others said that they experienced some fatigue eye fatigue as well. One man told Friday that he was forced to switch the system to 2D mode after playing Samurai Warriors: Chronicle for a few minutes. Although many players were interesting in experiencing 3D, apparently a great deal of people turned off the effect as a result of eye fatigue.

As would be expected, a number of participants suggested keeping the system in a fixed position to lessen the symptoms. It has been stated numerous times that the system has a sweet spot for optimal 3D viewing, and players can adjust the 3D affect by adjusting the 3D depth slider.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata revealed last week that 1.5 million 3DS units will be shipped to Japan by the end of March. How much product will be available on launch day, though?

Well, a retailer is under the impression that the number will be around 400,000 units. This is quite a low figure, all things considered. The retailer believes consumers should pre-order when the program begins on January 20th due to the small shipment. It would probably be best to do the same in North America and Europe, too. Only 2.5 million 3DS units will be shipped outside of Japan, which means that the US, UK, and plenty of other territories will be forced to share the inventory.
