We’re still about 30 minutes away, but take a look at these photos will you wait!

We were left in the dark about Nintendo’s impending conference for quite some time, but a few details have finally been released. According to Nikkei, the Big N will start the event at 1 AM EDT/10 PM PST. We also know that Capcom will have official news about two game announcements at 2 AM EDT (okay, it hasn’t been confirmed to be Nintendo-related, but what else could it be?!). One other thing – From what I can gather, this is not necessarily a 3DS-only conference, so we may very well hear about some Wii titles.

Just so you know, I’ll be covering the conference in any capacity I can. This includes posting updates on the site as soon as any information becomes available, as well as hosting any screenshots/trailers I come across. I’ll probably regret staying up so late in the morning, but Nintendo conferences don’t happen too often – might as well soak in all the news!

The bulk of the 3DS news won’t be arriving until about two and a half hours, but we’ve found out about two new titles via Famitsu: Class of Heroes 3Dx3D and some sort of game in which the player waits tables. It’s certainly possible we’ll find out more about those two projects in a couple of hours.

“2012 is the 10th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts, so we’d like to do something to celebrate. However, I’ll say this up front, just because it’s the 10th anniversary, we still won’t have KH3 out (laughs).” – Tetsuya Nomura

Well, this is rather unfortunate news! I figured we’d be getting the assets on Kingdom Hearts 3 in some of the coming months, judging by how long it’s been since the second one! Sure, we’ve had the little side-stories in between that have had the developers keeping busy, but come on, where’s the main installment?
