Somewhat surprisingly, Nintendo just issued a new version 3.0.3 update for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. However, there isn’t really much here.

According to the official patch notes, we get the same line we’ve seen many times from Nintendo before about addressing issues. Specifics weren’t shared about what was actually addressed.

Here’s the official rundown of today’s update:

Nintendo is sneaking out another update for Splatoon, which will bring the game to version 9.1.0. This will be available in just under an hour – 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET / 2 AM in the UK / 3 AM in Europe.

For those participating in the imminent Grand Festival event, you’ll need to access the latest patch as data for it has been added. Also, a few bug fixes have been implemented as well.

Spooky season is almost upon us, and Team Zutsuu will be joining in on the festivities with Atama. The game launches for Switch on September 19, 2024.

Atama, a stealth horror game, has players investigating a cursed rural Japanese village. The main hook involves using psychic powers to see through the eyes of your pursuers to avoid detection.

Stingbot Games is readying Keeper’s Toll for Switch, and has confirmed that it’s set to launch next month. A release is scheduled for October 25, 2024.

Keeper’s Toll is an action arcade roguelite. Throughout the experience, players will face off against hordes of enemies and grueling bosses with action RPG combat.

Today, publisher Joystick Ventures and developer Kraken Empire announced a new Switch version of Toy Tactics. It should be ready at the end of this year.

Toy Tactics is a physics-based real-time strategy game. Players personalize battle tactics by hand to defend against enemy hordes of minifigure units like Roman soldiers, Samurai warriors, raptor-riding skeletons, and more.

SEGA has started to remaster and bring back a number of different games in the Sonic the Hedgehog series over the past few years, but the same can’t be said of the Sonic Advance titles. However, it sounds like the company has at least some interest in doing so.

For those that are unaware, Sonic Advance saw three different entries on the Game Boy Advance. Each one was largely handled by Dimps. The thing is, they’ve never return after originally launched on the GBA.

Critical Games today provided a release date for the console versions of 8-Bit Adventures 2, including Switch. It’ll be ready to go on October 16, 2024.

8-Bit Adventures 2 has been a long time coming as we first reported on it nearly three years ago. Now after the PC version debuted, Switch players will be able to get their hands on the RPG in a matter of weeks.

XSEED and Marvelous have come through with a final release date for Potionomics: Masterwork Edition. The game is confirmed to launch for Switch on October 22, 2024.

We previously reported on Potionomics: Masterwork Edition in April. At the time, we only had a vague fall release window.

Here’s an overview of the game:

CFK and Deerfarm are working together on a new Switch version of Shikhondo: Youkai Rampage, the two sides announced today. No release window is available at this time.

Shikhondo: Youkai Rampage is a vertically scrolling shoot ’em up (bullet hell) game in which players need to avoid the attacks of Youkai escaping the depths of hell, acquire souls, and defeat waves of enemies with strong attacks. This follows Shikhondo: Soul Eater (read about it here), which came to Switch a few years ago.

Hamster will release VS. Battle City as the latest Arcade Archives game on Switch, the company announced today. A worldwide release is planned for September 12, 2024.
