Comic Con officially kicks off this week with the illustrious SDCC. The show floor has been set up, with today being the preview event and the convention officially starting tomorrow morning, going until Sunday afternoon. Nintendo will once again be making an appearance this year, and it seems in their area they’ve set up a case containing some upcoming amiibo, one of them being the newly added Mewtwo to the Super Smash Bros. line of amiibo!

This is more than likely a prototype, but I don’t see it straying too far from this design and look when it officially releases, one would imagine sometime before the end of the year, if not January 2016, as the last wave of the Super Smash Bros. line won’t launch until Holiday season in North America.

So what do you think? Will you be picking Mewtwo up when he finally releases? Obviously most amiibo have been selling out, but with the popularity Mewtwo has garnered since Pokémon began nearly twenty years ago, it’s no doubt Mewtwo will be flying off shelves for a good while. Let us know your thoughts below!

Two more amiibo are due out in North America later this month. Dark Pit is scheduled for July 31, and Palutena is also coming out on the same day.

You may recall that Best Buy recently announced that it will be the only retailer in the United States to sell the Dark Pit amiibo. This has led some to wonder if Palutena will be meeting the same fate. Apparently not, if the latest rumors are to be believed.

Nintendo Inquirer has heard from “a reliable source within the community” that a Nintendo representative confirmed Palutena’s non-exclusivity. This would certainly be encouraging news for amiibo collectors!

Warner Bros. Interactive has released the San Diego Comic-Con 2015 trailer for LEGO Dimensions, which focuses on Doctor Who. Check it out below.

Also worth mentioning, LEGO Dimensions features every incarnation of Doctor Who.

Here’s everything you need to know about Doctor Who’s presence in LEGO Dimensions:

Doctor Who, which has never before been in a LEGO videogame, will be playable in the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack with a complete Doctor Who level where the game’s heroes continue their quest while encountering Daleks, Cybermen and other adversaries from the Whoniverse.

Fans who want more Doctor Who in LEGO Dimensions will be able to purchase the Doctor Who Level Pack which includes an additional mission-based Doctor Who level, along with a LEGO minifigure of the 12th Doctor and LEGO models of the TARDIS and K-9, all playable in the game. When the 12th Doctor is defeated in the level, he returns as the 1st Doctor and then regenerates back up to the 12th Doctor again. The interior of the TARDIS will reflect the corresponding Doctor the player embodies or can be manually selected. There’s even a jukebox inside where players can choose among different versions of the Doctor Who theme music. The TARDIS and K-9 models can each be physically built and then rebuilt twice to do entirely different things in the digital game for massive variety.

There will also be a Doctor Who Fun Pack, which includes a playable Cyberman minifigure and Dalek model which can be physically built and then rebuilt twice for a total of three different objects.

Finally, Warner Bros. Interactive has confirmed that actors from Doctor Who will be reprising their roles in LEGO Dimensions. This includes:

– Peter Capaldi – 12th Doctor
– Jenna Coleman – Clara Oswald
– Michelle Gomez – Missy
