Pokemon Direct – June 5, 2019 – live stream, live blog

Today’s Pokemon Direct will be beginning in just an hour. Expect it to kick off at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe. Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield will be receiving new information during the 15-minute presentation.

You can watch the Pokemon Direct as it happens below. Campbell will also be handling a live blog for us, placed after the stream. Other than that, new posts will be added to the site during and after the broadcast.

Hey everyone, Campbell here! It’s exciting to see Pokemon Sword and Shield get the spotlight ahead of E3. There’s currently no indication about what sort of information the direct will be covering, but it seems like a safe bet that we’ll see some new Pokemon, more of the Galar region, each of the games’ unique Legendary Pokemon, and a release date. Also, could we please get a free-moving camera?

-Hop: Leon’s younger brother and your rival, who dreams of becoming champion. His journey begins with you

-Professor Magnolia and her granddaughter Sonia help you along your journey and research dynamax Pokemon

And that’s a wrap! There was a ton of information in this Direct. The game is looking so much more ambitious than the initial reveal trailer made it seem. The new world exploration looks amazing, and the fact that the camera is freely movable in the Wild Areas alone makes this a Day 1 buy for me. But what did you think?
