Pokemon GO details Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle event

Pokemon GO is promoting the film Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle with a special event. Today, Niantic detailed its upcoming plans.
During the event, the Rogue Monkey Pokemon Zarude will be appearing in Pokemon GO for the first time, and it can be countered by finishing limited-time Special Research. Other activities are planned as well.
Hoothoot, Combee, Drilbur, Cottonee, Dwebble, and others are more likely to be found in Pokemon GO, as they’re related to Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle. Additionally, you’ll have a chance to encounter a Larvitar. Explorer Pikachu is also coming back, with a chance to catch a Shiny version.
As far as raids go, Explorer Pikachu, Larvitar, Roggenrola, Foongus, and Rufflet are showing up in one-star raids. A Shiny Rufflet may appear as well. In three-star raids, Lickitung, Chansey, Pinsir, Ludicolo, and Flygon will be appearing.
As another tie-in Jessie and James are being featured in snapshots, and players can watch for their Meowth Balloon. And finally, PokeSteps will have Field Research leading to encounters with Audino, Rufflet (including a possible Shiny version), and more.

The Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle event will be held in Pokemon GO between October 1 and October 10. As for the film, it debuts on Netflix on October 8.
