Sonic Prime release date confirmed for December

Original (10/27): Sonic Prime, the upcoming animated series from Netflix, now has a confirmed release date. Although it was previously rumored, the streaming service has come forward with the news that the show goes live on December 15, 2022.
Below is the official synopsis:
“The action-packed adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog go into overdrive when a run-in with Dr. Eggman results in a literal universe-shattering event. Desperate to piece his prime reality back together and save his old friends, Sonic races through the Shatterverse, discovering strange worlds and enlisting new friends in an epic adventure of a lifetime!”
A new trailer for Sonic Prime will accompany the release date news later today. It’ll be shown during the Geeked: Toon-In live stream at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET. Once it’s live, we’ll add it in here.
Sonic Prime was properly announced in February 2021. WildBrain’s Vancouver studio is in charge of the animation.
