Black Hole

Black Hole has received a new update, bringing it to version 1.2. The main highlight is the addition of a brand new survival mode that can be unlocked once players finish the game.

We have the following patch notes:

Dufgames has announced an upcoming patch for Black Hole, the arcade style dual-stick space shooter for Switch. Version 1.1 is planned for early May.

The update will entail “will fix bugs and address the save game mechanic as well as some other small additions.” Dufgames is also planning more content updates for the future.

In other news, Black Hole has received a demo on the eShop. Switch owners can try out the first five levels of the game for each difficulty and ship.

We also have just a slight update on the release date of Black Hole. The game will now arrive worldwide on February 6. The game will feature 40 levels spread out through four worlds each with a boss fight that may be played with three customizable customizable ships. HD Rumble, full support for touch and motion controls, speedrun mode, leaderboards, and a colorblind mode will be included.

Update (1/26): We’ve confirmed with Dufgames that the listing is accurate. Black Hole will release on February 6.


Original (1/25): Black Hole was originally intended for release on Switch in January, but it looks like the release window could be slipping just slightly. Currently, the European eShop has it down for February 6. The North American launch should be taking place around the same time.

Black Hole is an arcade-style twin-stick shooter set in space. The game has 40 levels spread across four worlds, three upgradeable ships, HD Rumble support, speedrun and colorblind modes, and leaderboards. Support is also included for touch controls, motion controls, and IR controls.

Dufgames originally created the arcade style dual-stick space shooter Black Hole for Ouya and Razor Forge TV. That same game is coming to Switch, but with some bonuses.

Black Hole contains 40 levels spread out through four worlds and a boss fight in each in addition to three customizable ships. On Switch, the title will support HD Rumble, full support for touch and motion controls, a speedrun mode, leaderboards, and colorblind mode.
