Nintendo published a new set of Girls Mode 3 details on the Japanese website. Siliconera translated the various tidbits, which we’ve rounded up below. All of the information covers Girls Mode 3’s five jobs.

Select Shop Manager

– This was the primary role from Style Savvy Trendsetters
– Act as a shop owner that helps customers out with different clothing and style recommendations

– You can also change your own hairstyles, even with detailed little changes

Makeup Artist

– Give customers a makeover
– Can change their eyebrows, add eyeshadow and mascara, and more
– Some customers will request makeup that to look more energetic, while others will want a look that’s more cool
– Customers will provide photographs for reference
– Make your own sets of makeup that can be sold at the store

Model

– Be involved with fashion shows and photo ops for posters/billboards
– Figure out the best combinations in terms of clothing coordination, hairstyles, makeup, poses, and more
– Different requests for models
– Ex: one asks for a “happy wedding”
– This request is apparently looking for an exquisite poster that can convey a happy wedding
– Can be a part of a fashion show by putting in plenty of work in all five jobs
– These will require you to coordinate with certain themes, and then walk the runway
– Good coordination will make for a successful show, which means more customers will go to the shop

Designer

– Acquire clothes that fit the orders from customers
– Design items of your personal preference and brand new ones
– Can create branded emblems and place them on the items you make
– Design shirts, dresses, shoes, tights, bags, and other “special items”
– Customer orders vary from simple shirts to lavish wedding dresses

– Battle flow is dependent on the order and timing of arts usage as well as your relative position
– Combo attacks are arts with descriptions like “Increases damage if used following a Melee Art” or “Increases damage if used following a Ranged Art”
– This makes it possible to achieve greater effects than normal through combinations
– Link arts together skillfully to increase the damage you do to enemies

Famitsu has a big update on Bravely Second this week. Among other things, the magazine provides first information about the Chariot job.

The Chariot job is described as a physical attacker who can use all types of weapons. Their abilities include “Fighting Race”, which raises the aptitude for equipped weapon for regular attacks. There’s also “Three-sword School”. This allows them to wield three weapons temporarily.

Several website previews went live for Splatoon earlier today, including ones from IGN and GameSpot. We’ve rounded up information from their reports below.

– As previously mentioned, players customize a squidling and use ink as a weapon
– Can toss it on your rivals or mark your territory in 8-player multiplayer battles
– Swim in it to travel faster and refill ink to spray more color
– Use currency obtained in multiplayer to unlock more weapon sets and special gear
– Splat Roller: roller brush lays down a soothing coat of friendly ink; can flick out a deadly spread, too
– .52 Gal features a grenade launcher-like design that sprays out heavy ink blobs at a lower rate of fire than some of the other weapons, with a much higher damage rate
– Inkzooka and Killer Wail are powerful special weapons
– The weapons you unlock come in three-piece sets
– There’s one primary, a grenade type, and a special weapon
– If you switch over to the Uzi-like Splattershot Jr., you’re also switching over to Splatter Bombs as a sub weapon and a shield as your special
– Single-player design is similar in setup to a stage in Super Mario Galaxy
– Each stage strings together floating islands that focus on building specific skills
– Each stage has a squid launching sequence
– Story: follows Cap’n Cuttlefish, an odd-looking war hero who wants you to collect recover the stolen Zapfish from the dastardly Octarians
– Learn about the fundamentals of shooting, swimming, jumping, speeding through ink tubes, or even using valves of gushing color in combat in the first few levels

– Each one has a distinct method of fighting and personality on the battlefield
– Splat Zones: one of the objective games you’ll find under Splatoon’s Ranked Battles
– This has players capturing and holding a single zone until a 100-point timer runs down to zero
– Teams need to work together to press and hold the highlighted zone and keep out rivals
– Ranked Battles won’t unlock until a portion of the player base reaches level 10
– Ranked matches separate the player pool by specific letter ranks that range from top tier A+ to C-
– Ex: A rank players won’t play with a C rank squad
– Ranks are independent of the player leveling system, which unlocks new equipment sets
– Rather than strategize via direct communication, Nintendo suggests that players use the bird’s eye view of the map that’s displayed on the GamePad to locate their teammates
– Fighting to kill in single-player, which is different from multiplayer
– Single-player has sponge platforms that grow when hit with ink

Famitsu has another bi-weekly update on Splatoon. In this week’s magazine, more details are shared on the game’s various weapons.

Famitsu notes that sub weapons use a lot of ink. The magazine goes on to say that special weapons can only be used after filling a gauge that increases the more ink you shoot, and weapons come in pre-set groups of three. Below are two examples:

Main Weapon: Splat Charger – charging weapon, good for long range attacks, can make ‘Ink Roads’ for you and your team mates to use.
Sub Weapon: Splash Bomb – standard bomb, explodes on impact
Special Weapon: Bomb Rush – Allows you to shoot as many bombs as you want for a set period.

Main Weapon: .52 Gal – Stronger than the Splat Charger, but uses more ink so can’tbe fired as much.
Sub Weapon: Splashield – Creates a curtain of ink. Good for narrow pathways to attack your opposition.
Special Weapon: Megaphone Laser – Shoots out a powerful ‘laser’ of ink. Good for turning around battles.

In an update added to the Xenoblade Chronicles X website last night, new details were shared regarding the game’s various creatures. Here’s a look at some of the ones you’ll find:

Brass Femina Zeus: A boar-like creature with a firm lump on its head. The male (Brass Zeus) and female versions have different hair and body colors.

Stone Hippo: Has a sharp tusk beneath its jaw. They’re gentle creaters, and can often be seen around bodies of water.

Wood Fontera: Herbivores with a height of over 6 meters. They’re similar to giraffes, as they use their long necks to eat leaves on trees.

Everlast Milesauro: Giant creatures that resemble dinosaurs. They don’t attack humans, and tend to spend their time leisurely.

Lake Rutorl: Live by bodies of water, and have a mammal-like appearance. They also share characteristics of dogs and cats, as they face upwards and roll around.

Quick Strutt: Bird-like bipedal creatures. Similar to ostriches, they have wings but cannot fly. The Quick Strutts live in groups and feed off insects they peck off the ground.

Junior Simius: share the appearance of an ape, but they have four arms to go with their two legs. They often travel in groups, and can occasionally be seen with their giant parents.

Young Lups: fierce carnivores that will even go after other prey while hunting. They’ll also attack humans immediately upon seeing any nearby.

Docile Ois: Small herbivore creatures with a puffy ball on the end of their tails. They like to eat sprouts, and can often be seen living in areas with plenty of greens.

Youth Vasalt: These insect-like creatures have six legs, and use their front legs as sickles. You might occasionally see them using their sickles to dig holes in the ground.

Welkin Lukiora: these giant flying creatures usually travel calmly in the skies. They tend to constantly float around their own territories.

Monolith Soft also touches on the “Overed”, which are like regular monsters but are quite a bit stronger and have unique names. Overed will be featured in some quests, though due to their strong power, you’ll need to be well-prepared before taking them on.

Members of the press recently had the opportunity to go hands-on with LEGO Jurassic World. That means in addition to the debut trailer and screenshots, there are also plenty of details to read up on as well. You can find information rounded up from two reports (IGN and Eurogamer) below.

– The child-abandoning lawyer wasn’t so much eaten as he was tossed into the T-Rex’s mouth where he used a toilet brush to clean the dino’s chompers
– Instead of the scary scene where Malcom seemingly sacrifices himself by distracting the giant creature with a flare, the duo collects a few parts in the area to create a giant bone to capture the T-Rex’s attention
– Lex is freed so she can use her scream ability to break the windows of a locked truck and tow the other overturned vehicle
– Can play as dinosaurs
– T-Rex chase where Jurassic Park’s largest inhabitant trails a Jeep holding Sattler, Harding, and Malcom will be in the game

– This can also be done by using a company’s weapon and acquiring Commercial Points by defeating enemies
– Can also request upgrades with the Affix Enhancement feature
– Do this by offering various material found throughout Mira, and providing them to upgrade accessories
– There are slots for equipment
– You can use to input “Devices” into the as power-ups and effects to the gear
– This is also done by finding material in Mira, then making the Device with them
– The Arms Company can make brand new equipment by giving them rare material

The Nopon

– Indigenous to Planet Mira
– Nopon are known for traveling around the planet in their caravan to sell merchandise

The MaNon

– The MaNon are Peaceful extraterrestrials with highly advanced technology

The Vaias

– Vaias are hostile toward humans
– Vaias are one of the more aggressive groups of extraterrestrials on Planet Mira
