There have been a couple of trailers for Siesta Fiesta, but we haven’t heard much about the game actually plays – until now. GamesRadar put up a preview today with a number of details, and we’ve rounded them up below.

– Game will try to distract you with confetti, dancing bystanders, other effects
– Bounce the rotund boy Siesta from left to right
– Grab grapes, avoid point-draining explosions
– Move his bed to bounce him like Breakout
– Have 5 lives to make it through each stage

– Plumb the depths of hell to advance
– Fight angels sent to protect man from entering such a dangerous place as you seek to enter
– One angel, Label Case, offers you a proposition should you defeat her
– Consumer her special skill or turn the request down
– If Seed (who you’re playing as) accepts, you’ll get a new skill to use in battle
– If Seed declines, you’ll receive several level ups and a host of high-end equipment
– Pullma: magical witch who pulled a fast one at the registration counter as both participant and partner
– In the tournament of Toshin, contestants have to sign up with both themselves and a lady partner, but Pullma escapes that
– Pullma is an amnesiac
– Only remembers that she has to participate in the games
– Japanese princess Shizuka: partner for samurai dude Gaji
– The two are madly in love with each other, and eloped as Gaji had no hope otherwise of marrying her
– Will need to take her out on a date anyway in order to win her affections and earn her special skill
– Will also need to deal with Suzuya, the kunoichi sent after the pair
– Contrary to her looks and training, she apparently is clueless

  • State of game: Got a good story basis; building the battle system right now
  • High or low fantasy? Playdek are fans of high-fantasy, but exact level of fantasy not final yet and still being decided
  • How many classes in the final game? So far six classes and six professions revealed; leaving it open for Yasumi Matsuno’s design in full game
  • Leaning toward visual character customization using equipment
  • Undecided on permadeath so far; will decide later
  • Game will include a mix of rendered and in-game cutscenes
  • First user-end tool being created is the map editor; leaving option for other user tools open; will figure it out later
  • Matsuno is reviewing fan suggestions and design ideas for the game

New details have come in for Klon’s Island Days. Check out the latest information about the game below.

– Makoto Ito is back from School Days
– He’s stuck on a deserted island in this game
– Two goals in Island Days: find a way off the island and start a relationship with one of the girls there
– Decide if Makoto should spend time with one of the heroines to raise their affection for Makoto or forage for food and weapons
– Pick up weapons and food to be used in battle
– Battles are tower defense-based
– Protect your rations
– Place heroines on the map and equip them with weapons like an ax, knife, spear, bow and other items – Food you save carries over to the next battle
– If your food supply is low you’ll have a disadvantage in the next battle
– Building relationships has its perks since the affection level heroines have for Makoto powers heroines up
– Heroines you choose for the battle part are more likely to show up the next day
– Out on May 1

It’s been a busy day for Yoshi’s New Island news between the game’s new trailer and press previews. NintendoWorldReport is the latest outlet to share a write-up, and we’ve rounded up details from the article below.

– Game takes place immediately after the original Yoshi’s Island
– Starts out by showing a recap of the first game, the final screen, where the baby heroes are held high is shown
– Then scrolls down to show the proud new parents
– “These aren’t our babies!” they exclaim
– Stork screwed up
– Mario ends up on Floating Egg Island
– This is the second home for the Yoshis
– Bowser wants to turn the island into a resort
– Little Eggs, Bigg Eggs, Chomp Rock ‘n’ Roll are among the game’s stages
– These are easy tutorial levels
– Little Eggs introduces the egg making and throwing mechanics and the giant egg
– With the giant egg, the more destruction you cause, the more extra lives you earn
– Can create a giant egg by eating a giant Shy Guy
– To do this, you have to rapidly press the tongue button like reeling in a fish
– Two button configurations
– World 1-6: Bouncy Beanstalk Walk

– Genre: love survival

– Stuck on an island desert with his female classmates
– Need to help him forage for food, find a way off the island, and befriend girls
– Plays like a visual novel in story mode

– Fights may break out on the island if you don’t consider the temperament of everyone in the group
– Game includes battle aspects which play like a tower defense game
