Disney Art Academy has released in Japan, and Nintendaan has an extensive look at it, which you can watch below.

Disney Art Academy is now up for pre-load in Japan. To download the game, 3DS owners will need 2,589 blocks of free space, or 323MB.

Disney Art Academy is out in Japan on April 7. North America is getting it on May 13, followed by July 15 in Europe.

Nintendo is starting its promotional efforts for Disney Art Academy in Japan with a first commercial. Take a look at it below.

Nintendo has added in an official listing for Disney Art Academy on its website. The page contains some English screenshots, along with a fact sheet of sorts with additional details about the title.

Disney Art Academy is now official. The title was announced for 3DS during today’s Nintendo Direct, with plans for release in May in North America and July in Europe.


Update: This is also listed by Synnex (Nintendo distributor for North America).


Disney Art Academy could be in the works, based on a newly-discovered retailer listing. MacMall has reason to believe that the title is coming to 3DS.

Most of Nintendo’s Art Academy releases have been pretty traditional. But following Pokemon Art Academy, this would be the series’ second spin-off – assuming there’s truth to MacMall’s listing. We’ll let you know if we hear anything official.
