Earth Atlantis

Headup Games announced its full schedule of games the company intends to publisher during the second half of 2017. Four Switch games are included.

Slime-san will start things off when it launches in August. The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+, finally coming to Europe, is next up on September 7. Earth Atlantis is slated for Q3 2017, and Panzer Party drops in October.

Most of these titles we’ve heard about previously, but Panzer Party appears to be a new project for Switch.

Here’s some early information about the game:

Take your tank, aircraft or ship and fight against up to 3 players on your couch or around the world in this fast paced action arena brawler. Win round after round and take advantage of the items you will be given in return. Battle at various locales from the Desert, the Andes or even Venice, but be aware of the dangers each setting will confront you with.

  • 6 settings, each packed with its own unique events
  • 9 vehicles split into 3 classes: Water, ground and air
  • More than 20 equippable upgrades and pick-ups combined

Earth Atlantis, listed for Switch on the BitSummit website, is now officially confirmed for Switch. It’ll be Switch-only in Japan, and it’ll also be distributed in the west on the system alongside other platforms.

One segment of the official BitSummit stream showed Earth Atlantis in action. Check out a bit of footage below from the recording.

The official BitSummit website has seemingly confirmed two new games for Switch. According to the pair of listings, Earth Atlantis and Dusty Raging Fist are both on the way.

Here’s an overview of the first title:

“Earth Atlantis is an ‘Open-World’ retro-style side-scrolling shooter with an original ‘Monster-Hunting’ gameplay. The mission is to search and hunt down more than 15 dreadful sea monsters and explore the post-apocalyptic underwater world.

The game is also presented in a very unique and artistic ‘old sketching’ visual style. We want to create the look of an ‘old explorer sketchbook’ to express the essence of the 14 century’s ocean exploration when the sea was considered a dangerous place and full of monsters.”

And Dusty Raging Fist:

If you’ve been reading the site for awhile, Dusty Raging Fist may sound familiar. We first heard about it in 2013 as a Wii U game. It’s still in development, and it looks like it’s transitioned to Switch.

We’re marking this post as a rumor as BitSummit’s site isn’t entirely accurate. Tasukete Tako-San: Save me Mr Tako! is listed for Wii U, but we confirm that it’s no longer coming to that system. We’ll have a tiny bit more on that game (and a ton of additional indies) later this month.
