Atelier Ryza is almost here in the west, and new footage has emerged showing off the English build on Switch. Take a look at the gameplay below.

Koei Tecmo and Gust surprised fans last month when they announced that a brand new RPG is in development based on the Fairy Tail manga / anime. Following the reveal, Nintendo Everything was able to speak with producer Keisuke Kikuchi.

During our chat, Kikuchi discussed a few aspects of the game, including the battle system and story. He also talked about the involvement from Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima. Oh, and we asked about Fatal Frame, because we absolutely had to.

Atelier Ryza

Atelier Ryza is the next entry in the long-running Atelier series, and it’s a pretty significant one at that. It’s true that the franchise gets new games regularly, but this addition is taking a bit of a different approach. Gust reworked the game’s visuals, battle system, and more.

Koei Tecmo and Gust Studios have shared new information about the upcoming Fairy Tail RPG. Specifically, we have details pertaining to the game’s story, along with a bit of news about gameplay systems.

Koei Tecmo and Gust have published a new debut trailer for the upcoming Atelier Dusk Trilogy Deluxe Pack.

The trailer focuses on gameplay from the included titles of Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk DX, Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky DX, and Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea DX. Those interested can view the footage below. 

The latest issue of Famitsu has confirmed that fan favorite characters Gajeel Redfox and Juvia Lockster will be playable in the upcoming Fairy Tail game on Switch.

In addition, the magazine also confirmed two more arcs from the series that will be represented in the game, which includes the Grand Magic Games and Tartaros arcs after the game begins with the battle against Hades.

Atelier Ryza

The Atelier series wasn’t really prominent on Nintendo platforms for a very long time. With Switch, this is finally starting to change. Koei Tecmo and Gust started out with Atelier Lydie on Switch, and have since brought over all future titles as well as some ones from the past.

Recently, Nintendo Everything spoke with Atelier Ryza producer Junzo Hosoi and one of the topics we discussed was what it’s been like working with Switch. Hosoi commented on the challenges involved, stating:
