Nintendo published a new, “special movie” for Kirby Star Allies featuring about a minute of animation. Have a look at the video below.

Kirby Star Allies is one of many games featured in this week’s issue of Famitsu. In the magazine, new information is provided about the game.

First up, “Festival” and “Stick” are two new abilities are in Kirby Star Allies. Famitsu also confirms that the “Cook” ability is returning.

Pon & Con, originally from Kirby’s Dream Land 3, will be featured in Kirby Star Allies as a boss. There’s another new boss pictured towards the top of the page, but details are light at the moment.

Nintendo’s Hong Kong YouTube channel has posted its own trailer for Kirby Star Allies. View the video below for the latest footage.

Another brief gameplay clip for Kirby Star Allies has been posted to the series’ Twitter account. In the video, Nintendo and HAL Laboratory show a duel with Meta Knight. Have a look at it below.

Kirby Star Allies is looking quite pretty, and Nintendo seems pretty eager to show it off. Below is a short trailer showcasing the ambiance of what is probably the first area of the game. Those platforms give off a Smashing vibe.

Kirby Star Allies

For the most part, Kirby Star Allies appears to run primarily at 30 frames per second. Barring any last-minute changes, the gameplay itself will hold steady at the count. This includes cut-scenes as well.

The only exception pertains to the menus. When on the title screen or anywhere else inside menus (including the pause menu), Kirby Star Allies goes up to 60 frames per second.

Nintendo updated Kirby Battle Royale last week with the brand new Sleep Copy Ability. For a closer look at the addition, watch the video below.

Kirby Star Allies will have some sort of amiibo support. We just don’t know about the specifics of the functionality at present.

A number of outlets were recently able to go hands-on with Kirby Star Allies, including GameXplain. Footage provided by the YouTube channel shows the main menu, which houses the amiibo tab. We should have more details about Kirby Star Allies’ amiibo support leading up to release.

A new update is now available for Kirby Battle Royale. The latest patch is version 3.0.

The highlight of Kirby Battle Royale’s update is the addition of the Sleep Copy Ability. We’ve posted the full patch notes below.

  • Added Kirby’s Sleep Copy Ability.
  • Adjusted balance of Copy Ability strengths.
  • Several adjustments made to enhance gameplay.
  • In Online Battle, a Battle Arena match will be terminated if it is taking unusually long due to attacks focused on one player. This will end as an incomplete game that won’t affect Ranking Points.
