High Strangeness

We recently heard that Elliot Quest’s Wii U sales were much stronger than its PC counterpart. Now the developer of High Strangeness has something similar about his title.

Ben “AgentMOO” Shostak, speaking during a recent episode of Sup Holmes, said that High Strangeness sold “much better” on the Wii U than on Steam. Specific sales figures weren’t shared, but that statement along is very encouraging to hear.

High Strangeness is heading to the European Wii U eShop next week, a listing on the digital store confirms. The game will be available on May 28 for €9.99.

High Strangeness launches on the North American Wii U eShop on May 6.

Thanks to a partnership with Midnight City, Barnyard Intelligence’s indie game High Strangeness is hitting the Wii U eShop next month. A release is scheduled for May 6.

High Strangeness was originally funded on Kickstarter in 2009. The title is a 12-bit adventure (mix of 8 and 16-bit) that takes inspiration from the likes of Zelda.

Players will take on the role of Boyd, who travels between two worlds with his feline friend to solve a mystery. Switching between the 8 and 16-bit worlds will surely play into High Strangeness’ various puzzles.

Midnight City is currently working to bring Costume Quest 2 and Gone Home to Wii U. It was additionally revealed today that the company will be releasing Crystal Lab’s High Strangeness on the eShop.

High Strangeness is a 12-bit action adventure video game featuring a boy living in present day America, who awakes one evening to find that his home as been invaded by Shadow Villains. He’ll eventually find his way on a quest to discover the secrets of a mysterious item after being dragged into a foreign world filled with the Shadow Men.

High Strangeness is coming to Wii U in Q4 2014.
