It’s well-known that Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia offers plenty of DLC. Today, Nintendo provided new details about the extra content in the west, including an early rollout schedule. Five major DLC packs will be offered starting on May 19, adding more maps, dungeons, characters and items.

Here’s the breakdown of DLC:

The Japanese Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia updated this week with news about additional DLC. Series 2, known as “Heroes’ Challenge”, is out now along with the free “Goddess’s Gift 3” which provides a rare Taurus shard and 5 shiny Golden Marks. As for Series 3, that’s planned for May 24.

Thanks to Serenes Forest, we have the full details on both waves of new DLC. Get the information below.

The Xander Grand Hero Battle has started in Fire Emblem Heroes. You have until May 8th to beat the Hard and the Lunatic difficulty versions of Xander’s special map, which will reward you with a 3-star or 4-star version of Xander, respectively.

To help you with the battle, a new summoning focus will also be available until May 8th. The featured 5-star units with higher appearance rates are Linde, Chrom, Arthur and Cordelia.

Fire Emblem Heroes will be getting its next major update, 1.3.0, next Monday, May 8th. In order to implement it, the game will undergo maintenance and be unavailable to play for 2 1/2 hours before the daily reset time.

Also, because of this update, the upcoming Arena season will be one day shorter than usual. It will run from May 2nd to May 8th. The official Fire Emblem Heroes Twitter account already announced the characters that will give you bonus points when used in the Arena during that season. They are Ike, Soren, Mist, Titania, Zephiel, Barst, Clarine, Hana, Felicia and Anna.

We have another lengthy video of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia showing the game in English. Get a look at 19 minutes of gameplay below.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia launched in Japan on April 20. During its first four days on the market, it sold about 132,000 copies. Media Create and Dengeki now have more information about the game’s performance.

Media Create points out that Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia sold less than half of Fates (304,000 from Birthright, Conquest, and the Special Edition combined), and sales are still not enough if compared to individual Fates SKUs. Therefore, Echoes is thought to be unable to include many of the new users coming from Fire Emblem Fates and Fire Emblem Heroes. However, when compared as a remake, New Mystery of the Emblem which came out for DS in July 2010 sold 136,000 copies in its first week, so it’s able to maintain the veteran fanbase.

As for Dengeki, the site says Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia sold through 80 percent of its initial shipment. The site says the title managed to cut through a favorable start.

Earlier today, the special Fire Emblem Heroes livestream called FEH Channel aired on Youtube, and it contained a wealth of new information. A post on the Fire Emblem Heroes subreddit has provided an excellent summary for everything that was revealed.

Some time was devoted to the Hero Fest event, which is now live. What’s coming next to the game is a lot more interesting however. The next Grand Hero Battle will feature the Nohrian prince Xander. Xander will come with his unique weapon Siegfried (16 Mt, allows him to counterattack at any range) as well as the skills Blazing Light, Armored Blow and Spur Defense.

Head past the break for more info on upcoming content, such as the next Voting Gauntlet and new game mechanics.

A new event has gone live in Fire Emblem Heroes – the Hero Fest. Until May 8th, everyone will receive 2 orbs as a special daily login. Also, until May 7th, SP received in battle is doubled.

The big draw for this event, however, is the new summoning focus. Not only are the featured characters some of the strongest currently in the game (Hector, Takumi, Azura and Ryoma) but the base chance for getting a 5-star character on this focus is 5%, instead of the usual 3%.

Fire Emblem Heroes recently received an update which included the World of Radiance maps and characters. Check out some footage of these new maps below.
