A trio of Mario Tennis characters have accidentally leaked. Japanese retailer Geo Online is taking pre-orders for the game, and is offering fans a special bonus. Buyers will be receiving a special handbag, and it’s that bag which outs the new characters.

Nintendo Treehouse has posted its third overview of the type of characters in Mario Tennis Aces. For the latest entry, we’re able to get a better idea about the speedy and tricky roster additions.

Just a short while ago, Nintendo issued a new general Switch trailer for its European audience. In case you missed it, you can view it here.

Towards the end of the video, we’re shown a family playing Mario Tennis Aces. And although it only lasts for a couple of seconds, we’re able to get a look at a character select screen. That screen contains a new playable character: Spike.

A few hours ago, news unexpectedly leaked concerning today’s Nintendo Direct. A Japanese retailer outed a Switch version of Sushi Striker and leaked a few release dates, including Mario Tennis Aces.

We may have some news pertaining to North America now as well. US-1 America, a video games distributor, has listed potential release dates for a trio of titles.

Ahead of today’s Nintendo Direct, Japanese retailer Rakuten Books has leaked several details regarding Mario Tennis Aces. The store page has since been taken down, though we suspect it’ll go live again after the Direct. You can see the game’s Japanese boxart above; Rakuten also listed the game’s release date as June 22nd. Some screenshots could also be found on the store page, which revealed several new playable characters. Head past the break to find out more.
