The Mario Kart 8 Happy Meal toys are now available at McDonald’s. Restaurant-goers can get their hands on vehicles featuring Mario, Luigi, Toad, Bowser, Peach, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong. A visor is also included as one of the toys.

The Mario Happy Meal toys at McDonalds appear to be a hot commodity in South Korea. With the second wave of toys out today, photos have been snapped of huge lines forming – some of which even stretched outside or up to the second floor.

As for why people are so interested in the toys, people are apparently trying to make money by selling them online. This has led some Korean websites to ban members for thirty days should they attempt to resell the Mario Happy Meal toys.

Nintendo is continuing its partnership with McDonalds for a new set of toys. Mario, Peach, Luigi, Donkey Kong, Bowser, Toad, and Yoshi – all based on Mario Kart 8 – will be a part of the “Next Happy Meal”. That means we should be seeing these toys in early July.

Nintendo must sure like McDonalds. After teaming up with the fast food restaurant to bring Mario toys to Japan and the UK, Pokemon X/Y toys are now coming to the United States. This new Happy Meal licensing deal includes a card and one of 12 toys from a selection including Pikachu, Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Mewtwo, Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Helioptile, Pancham, Xerneas, and Yveltal.

Nintendo UK team up with McDonald’s in the Run, Jump and Power-Up with Super Mario promotion

Nintendo UK has teamed up with McDonald’s to encourage children to get active with a Happy Meal promotion featuring some of its most famous characters. Launching in store on the 19th March, the toy inside every Happy Meal will be one of eight Super Mario-themed toys, fun activities on every box.

Although specific details are unavailable, McDonalds has confirmed plans to distribute Super Mario toys in the UK. It’s estimated that themed toys will be included with Happy Meals starting in March.
