New York Comic-Con 2014

Warner Bros. Interactive and TT Games revealed a slew of new characters for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham at New York Comic-Con today.

Darkest Knight Batman, Solar Suit Superman, Condiment King, Green Loontern, and Man Bat are all in. That’s in addition to Conan O’Brien, who acts as a guide in the game.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is due out on December 9, Capcom has revealed. The company made today’s announcement during a panel at New York Comic-Con.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy’s launch date is for North America, but it should (hopefully) apply to Europe as well. If we hear otherwise, we’ll let you know.

Capcom

Capcom has shared its lineup for this year’s New York Comic-Con. Attendees will be able to go hands-on with Resident Evil: Revelations 2, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy.

Signing sessions with the developers of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will be available at different times throughout Comic-Con. Capcom will additionally offer “a suite of special merchandise and limited edition items” through its store.

Thursday, Oct 9 from 4:15PM – 5:00PM in Room 1A06
Come find out the latest updates on all the new Capcom games including Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Resident Evil Revelations 2, the newly remastered version of the 2002 GameCube remake of Resident Evil, Dead Rising 3 for PC, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, and Ultra Street Fighter IV. Plus sneak peeks at all the latest cool Capcom merchandise and maybe a surprise or two.

Resident Evil Returns

Friday, Oct 10 from 7:15PM – 8:00PM in Room 1A24
Come join members of the Resident Evil team and get the latest news “bites” on the upcoming Resident Evil Revelations 2 and the newly remastered version of the 2002 GameCube remake of Resident Evil. Resident Evil Revelations 2 Producer, Michiteru Okabe, will also be on hand to showcase the game and provide an overview of what players can expect from this next chapter in the Resident Evil series. There will be plenty of content to sink your teeth into as well as some new game details to share, so we’ll see you there!

Monster Hunter panel

Monster Hunter is one of the most popular video game franchises in Japan and the excitement is catching in the West! Join a panel of Capcom staff members including director Kaname Fujioka as they share the brand new features and exclusive insights from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (coming Early 2015 on the Nintendo 3DS). The game features all new weapons, monsters and native online support. The panel will include gameplay footage, as well as some special surprises, so this is one you won’t want to miss! Followed by a QA session.

Street Fighter

A panel of Street Fighter experts share the latest news on the greatest fighting game franchise in the world! Find out about the latest updates for Ultra Street Fighter IV and how you can earn big money and everlasting fame by competing in the Capcom Pro Tour culminating in the Capcup Finals in December. Special guest, Joey Ansah – writer, director, and actor of the smash hit Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist web series makes an exclusive appearance to share behind-the-scenes details of making the excellent film, share a sneak peek at Funimation’s upcoming Blu-Ray/DVD release as well as answer Q&A.

Bandai Namco’s New York Comic-Con 2014 lineup is in. Fans will be able to go hands-on with the company’s upcoming slate of titles, including Lords of the Fallen, Dragon Ball: Xenoverse, Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2, Digimon All-Star Rumble, Project CARS, Dark Souls II (Crown of the Ivory King), Power Rangers Super Megaforce, Tenkai Knights: Brave Battle, and Tales of Hearts R.

A representative from Nintendo of America has confirmed that the company will not have a booth at this year’s Comic-Con.

This marks the first time in four years that Nintendo will not be having a presence at NYCC. In 2013, Eiji Aonuma stopped by and hosted a panel for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
