Pokemon Sun

The release of Pokemon Sun & Moon is getting ever closer, and we’ve reached another milestone today – the final event in the demo version is available today. Talk to the woman inside the building at the marina to see her off on her journey. As a reward, you will get a Comet Shard to send to the full game, which can be sold for quite a lot of money. Note that you can only start transferring items (and Greninja) once you actually have save data from the full version.

Just like previous entries in the series, Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Sun each feature their own unique set of creatures. We’ve known about some of the Pokemon that will only be found in each version, but a slightly more extensive list has been compiled by Reddit user VanitaLite.

Since some fans may consider this to be spoiler territory, we’ve posted the information after the break.

For those still looking to obtain the Pokemon Z-Ring, you may want to give Amazon a visit. It’s back in stock at the retailer as of this moment.

Remember: the Z-Ring is compatible with Pokemon Sun/Moon. When using a Z-Move, the Z-Ring lights up, vibrates, and emits sounds to go along with what’s happening in-game.

Update: Updates for Tuesday have begun.

Original: Even though Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon aren’t launching until next Friday, the leaks have begun. It would appear that someone has managed to obtain a retail copy ahead of release. Earlier in the day, that person began playing through the game and sharing images/information online. We’ll probably be hearing about similar reports in the days to come.

It’s going to be a long couple of weeks before Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon are officially made available. With that in mind, we’ve set up a single post where leaked material will be contained. We won’t be sharing any content that early players provide anywhere else on the site. If you’re up for spoilers, continue on below.

Pokemon fans have come across new pre-release images from the trading card game. In it, something noteworthy seems to be shown for Solgaleo and Lunala. Head past the break for more.

Over on the North American eShop, Nintendo put up some additional screenshots from Pokemon Sun/Moon. We’ve rounded them up below.

Over on Amazon Japan, those who pre-order Pokemon Sun/Moon will be entitled to a microfiber pouch. The pouch given depends on the version you choose, but if you order both, the two different styles will be provided. Amazon’s listed measurement is 110mm x 190mm.

In its latest issue, GamesMaster published an interview with two of Game Freak’s developers working on Pokemon Sun/Moon. Director Shigeru Ohmori and Junichi Masuda were both interviewed. Ohmori’s comments mainly reiterated what we heard in previous interviews, but many of Masuda’s comments were very interesting.

The Masuda interview was more about Pokemon in general. He talked about fan feedback, the process of making new creatures, plus voice acting and Pokemon cries. If that wasn’t enough, Masuda also dished on a couple of new online features being included in Sun/Moon.

Head past the break for a rundown of some of Masuda’s top comments.

GamesMaster went hands-on with Pokemon Sun/Moon in its latest issue, and wrote up an article about what to expect from the opening gameplay in the two titles. The information covers the beginning up through a portion of your arrival in Hau’oli.

There’s really nothing major here in terms of the story. Just to be on the safe side with spoilers though, we’ve posted the details roundup after the break.

This week’s episode of Nintendo Minute has gone live. In today’s video, Kit and Krysta kick off “Pokemon Month” with a chat featuring Junichi Masuda and Shigeru Ohmori from Game Freak who share their favorite things about the new Alola Region. Check it out below.
