New Grizzco Blaster shows up in Splatoon 2’s Salmon Run

A new weapon has made its first appearance in Splatoon 2. Specifically, the Grizzco Blaster has shown up in the newest rotation for Salmon Run.
We’re hearing that the Grizzco Blaster appears randomly in Salmon Run matches. It has the label “Rare Weapon”. While it has a massive fire rate, ink is consumed very quickly. Note that weapons can stack and switch between waves.

Splatoon 2: Heavy Splatling Deco being added to the game today / tomorrow

Another new weapon is coming to Splatoon 2 pretty soon. The Heavy Splatling Deco has the same stats as the regular Heavy Splatling and comes with the Bubble Blower special and the Splash Wall sub-weapon. It will be available in-game tomorrow around noon in Japan and Australia, early in the morning in Europe and late at night today in North America.

Splatoon 2 has a few more Salmon Run events lined up for this week. One in particular is very interesting.
When you check the Salmon Run schedule in Splatoon 2, the event for Friday / Saturday is a bit of a mystery. Nintendo isn’t saying what weapons will be supplied here. The official Japanese Splatoon Twitter account mentioned this as well.

Splatoon 2 – Japan gets new Shifty Station layout for McDonald’s Splatfest

Japan’s second Splatfest in Splatoon 2 is currently underway. It’s the McDonald’s-themed event featuring french fries and Chicken McNuggets.
For the Splatfest, Nintendo has put up a new Shifty Station layout making its debut for the first time. You’d have to imagine that it will eventually head west. For now, check out some footage below.

We’re nearing the end of the week, which means it’s time for another new weapon in Splatoon 2. The Custom Splattershot Jr. will be added to the game soon – it’ll be available tomorrow at midday in Japan and Australia, early in the morning in Europe and late at night tonight in North America. The stats of this weapon are exactly the same as those of the regular Splattershot Jr., but the Custom version comes with the Autobomb sub-weapon and the Ink Storm special weapon.

Splatoon version 1.3.0 – full patch notes

Update: Splatoon version 1.3.0 is now live. We’ve also added the official patch notes from Nintendo below.
Original: Later tonight, the next Splatoon patch will be going live. Nintendo will be publishing version 1.3.0 following a bit of maintenance.
The patch notes are live, and while they’re only in Japanese at the moment, Reddit’s frozenpandaman was kind enough to translate everything. You can find them in full below. We’ll add in the official English version later today.
