Splatoon 2

Nintendo has posted the results for Splatoon 2’s first European Splatfest. As was the case in North America and Japan, mayonnaise was the winner.

Ketchup was significantly more popular than mayonnaise. However, thanks to one percent wins in both solo and team battles, mayonnaise came out on top.

The final score: mayonnaise: 2, ketchup: 1.

The results are in for the first true North American Splatfest in Splatoon 2. Ultimately, it was mayonnaise that beat out ketchup.

Ketchup was much more popular than mayonnaise with 73 percent of the vote. However, mayonnaise took home the battles – just barely so – in the other categories. That helped Team Mayonnaise win by a score of 2-1.

Mayonnaise was also victorious in Japan. We should be finding out about the European results later today.

The first actual Splatfest for Splatoon 2 has drawn to a close in Japan. It was a close race all around, but ultimately, Team Mayonnaise came out on top.

Mayonnaise edged out ketchup in terms of both popularity and solo battles respectively at 56 percent and 51 percent respectively. However, ketchup did have one slight victory in team battles at 51 percent.

The final tally was two points for Team Mayonnaise and one point for Team Ketchup.

Splatoon 2’s first actual Splatfest carries the same topic worldwide. It’s the battle of the condiments: mayonnaise and ketchup.

Even in the battles themselves, Nintendo is holding true to the Splatfest theme. The ink colors have the same exact mayonnaise and ketchup theme. Pretty neat, right?

The first Splatfest is already underway in Japan. It’ll begin at 12 AM ET / 9 PM PT tonight. In Europe, it’s scheduled to start at 4 PM on Saturday. Each event lasts for a full day.
