Nintendo and Koei Tecmo held a Hyrule Warriors Legends panel last weekend at WonderCon, including a Q&A session. Someone recorded that Q&A session and put it up on Youtube:

During a panel at WonderCon last night, Marin was revealed as a new DLC character for the Link’s Awakening Pack in both Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends. A slightly different look at the art was snapped at the event, which may reveal her primary weapon.

An image that looks a whole lot like the Sea Lily’s Bell is included in Marin’s original WonderCon artwork. Why was it removed in the image Nintendo posted on its Twitter account? I have no idea. But in any case, I can’t see what that can be other than the Sea Lily’s Bell. And given the inclusion in the art, that could very well be Marin’s primary weapon.

For those that are curious, in Link’s Awakening, the Sea Lily’s Bell is one of eight instruments you find that are collectively known as the Eight Instruments of the Sirens. These are needed to awaken the Wind Fish.

The Hyrule Warriors Legends WonderCon panel has now come to an end. Aside from revealing a new DLC character, Koei Tecmo’s Yosuke Hayashi and Hiroya Usuda also shared some other goodies.

Head past the break for a roundup of the panel from Nintendo’s Twitter account. We’re able to get a look at a piece of Linkle’s story involving Tingle that was scrapped from the game and more.

A panel is currently underway for Hyrule Warriors Legends at WonderCon 2016. Developers Yosuke Hayashi and Hiroya Usuda from Koei Tecmo are on hand to talk about the game, as well as to share some entirely new information.

Just a couple of minutes ago, it was revealed that Marin will be added to Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors for one of the upcoming DLC packs. She’ll be the star of the Link’s Awakening Pack, which launches in July.

Here’s the news from Nintendo’s Twitter page:

Vincent, who reviewed Hyrule Warriors Legends for us, tipped me off about a neat little inclusion in Hyrule Warriors Legends.

On the game’s loading screen, you can play the ocarina, interestingly enough. There are five buttons that can be used as notes. The X, Y, B, L, and R each play their own respective note. By tilting the d-pad either up or down, you can change the note’s sound.

We have a look at this in the video below. It’s a bit low quality, but it was the best Vincent could do!

Medli will be added to Hyrule Warriors Legends (and the original Wii U game) when the new DLC pack begins distribution. Koei Tecmo has now shared the first in-game screenshots of the character, which you can see above. She’ll be using her harp as the main weapon of choice. Medli should be available sometime in May.

This update adds in a few elements. First, players can clear all save data and purchase add-on content. Ganondorf’s Wind Waker Robes have also been added in for those who purchase the Legends of Hyrule Pack, and stability has been improved.
