The Fall

Over the Moon is bringing the original The Fall to the Switch eShop today. Get a look at some footage in the video below.

The Fall is heading to Switch, a listing on the eShop reveals. Moreover, it’s just a week away, as a release date is set for May 10.

You may recall that The Fall Part 2: Unbound came to Switch in February. But until now, there hasn’t been a way to play the first entry on Nintendo’s latest console. As we now know, that’ll be changing next week.

On Miiverse, Over the Moon’s Danielle Lovell shared an update about the future of The Fall.

Thanks to sales of the game’s first episode, two more episodes are planned. The next one is currently in development and is targeted for release in Fall 2015.

Lovell’s message states:

The Fall is out now on the North American Wii U eShop. Those who plan on purchasing and downloading the game will need to reserve just under 600 MB of space. That’s not too bad all things considered!

Indie platformer The Fall launches today, August 26, for the North American eshop priced at $9.99. No date yet on when it will arrive in Europe, but developer Over the Moon says a date for European Wii U owners will be coming soon. Originally a Kickstarter, The Fall released on PC in May to overwhelming praise, looking forward to seeing the results on the Wii U.

The Fall is launching on Wii U in just a few days. Over the Moon Games announced on Twitter a short while ago that the title is slated for August 26. That’s next week, folks!

We last heard about The Fall in October last year. At the time, it was scheduled to hit the Wii U eShop in April.

That month has obviously passed and there’s no new release window at the moment. It’ll release on Steam on May 30th though, with the Wii U version following later.

You can find a trailer for The Fall above.
