Concerns about the Switch version of LEGO City Undercover were raised after the title’s packaging was found in the wild. Two elements in particular stuck out. First, the box states that players may need up to 13GB of storage for the “game download”. Also noted is that an internet connection is required.

Apparently these were both nothing more than errors. Warner Bros. sent out a fresh statement to IGN, confirming that LEGO City Undercover’s packaging listed incorrect information. Players will be “getting the complete game, and do not need to download additional content to enjoy the full experience.”

The full statement reads:

Nintendo just uploaded a new, 7-minute trailer for Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. The Japanese video is posted below.

Fairune developer Skipmore is finishing up its first game for Switch. This week, Famitsu is revealing Kamiko for the eShop.

Kamiko is an action game taking place in a pixel world. Players can choose from one of the three Kamiko who have different abilities, and go towards the boss at the deepest part of the stage.

Available characters are as follows:

– Yamato: A girl born into the family of Water shrine maidens; uses a sword with long reach named Kusanagi no Tsurugi
– Uzume: The Earth shrine maiden living in forest; can launch long-range attack with her bow Yasakani-no-Magatama –
– Hinome: The youngest daughter in the family of fire shrine maidens; fights by throwing her shield Yata no Kagami like a boomerang

Kamiko launches sometime next month in Japan. It’ll cost 500 yen. As of the new Famitsu, development is 90 percent complete.

Switch’s first system update since launch is now available for download. Version 2.1.0 is out now for all users worldwide.

Keep in mind that it does not add any new functionality. “General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience,” Nintendo says of the update.

You should be able to continue playing any game you have open while the update downloads. The same goes for accessing the eShop.

Sometimes nostalgia gets the best of us. We look back on the vast history of video games and how far we’ve come, what’s changed and what hasn’t, for better or for worse. There are certain mechanics that evolve so much over time throughout all genres that we tend to forget how things once were when they became innovative for their time. The RPG genre has come a long way, stepping away from the linearity and turn-based tradition and heading more towards an open-world and free-form combat in a flashy hack-n-slash fashion. Sometimes, however, you want to go back to basics and back to a time that makes you fall in love with the genre all over again and elicits strong feelings of nostalgia and purity that may have faded over time as we’ve grown. I Am Setsuna brings us back to the 90’s at a time when Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Parasite Eve, and a slew of other Square titles were pushing a new wave of gameplay with their Active Time Battle systems – ATB for short – where you could attack at any given point once a meter was filled rather than wait your turn in a chess-like fashion like traditional RPGs. I Am Setsuna not only brings us back to a time where RPGs were at their best thanks to their deep worlds, battle systems, and innocent art styles, but brings with it a reimagining to a forgotten style of gameplay that feels fantastic to have back in a modern take.

In January, Atlus teased a new Shin Megami Tensei game for 3DS. That mystery game was revealed today as a remake of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey.

Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey will be easier to play and is a refined version of the original with added elements. Characters will now be fully voiced, saving in dungeons can be done at any time, and a new character is introduced.

Gematsu provides the following information:

Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2 is heading to 3DS, Atlus announced today. The news was just shared during the Atlus New Title Announcement Special Spring 2017 event.

Buyers will receive a two-disc user’s best album featuring player favorite songs from the Etrian Odyssey series when they pick up a first-print copy of the game. Atlus will allow fans to vote on the tracks until April 9. Yuuji Himukai designed the jacket that houses the CDs.

Also, an Etrian Odyssey 10th Anniversary Box limited edition will be sold for 9,800 yen. It’ll come with a copy of the game, special-make box, and 200-page Character Art Works book containing character illustrations from across the Etrian Odyssey series numbered titles.

Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2 launches on August 31 in Japan for 6,480 yen. Access the official website here and watch the first trailer below.

Atlus has released the first trailer for Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology, which was announced for 3DS this week. View it below.

IGN caught up with Zelda: Breath of the Wild director Hidemaro Fujibayashi, technical director Takuhiro Dohta, and art director Satoru Takizawa to discuss the game’s creation in greater depth. Some interesting comments were shared about the game’s development. Fujibayashi, Dohta, and Takizawa talked about starting out with a small team, the 2D prototype, making The Great Plateau first, and more.

You never quite know what you’ll get out of Nintendo from E3. A few years ago, the big N ditched conferences on stage in favor of Digital Events. In 2016, they scrapped its usual pre-recorded presentation entirely and had Zelda: Breath of the Wild as its only playable game.

So what’s in store for this year? Going off of a new statement from Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, who recently spoke with Fox News, fans can expect “a big E3”. In addition to games for Switch, Nintendo will be showing what it has in store for 3DS.
