If you’ve ever played Pang, you will understand the basics of Pirate Pop Plus. In an enclosed box you run around on a 2D plane launching an anchor chain and popping bouncing bubbles in an arcade style score attack manner. The biggest differentiator in this spin of the formula is the anti gravity mechanic. As gravity shifts, so does the physics and it provides a surprising opportunity for extra depth and strategy.

Analyst and Kantan Games CEO Dr. Serkan Toto shared some interesting tweets about Super Mario Run as well as the reveal of NX a few minutes ago.

Regarding Super Mario Run, DeNA is handling actual development – not Nintendo. DeNA is primarily in charge of the engineering and creation. However, the company isn’t designing or directing it. Nintendo watches over QA and is essentially the creative team. Shigeru Miyamoto is personally overseeing Super Mario Run’s progress as we know. To clarify further, Super Mario Run is being designed and directed by Nintendo in Kyoto while DeNA takes care of engineering in Tokyo.

Toto has also heard that the NX will not be revealed this week, despite some rumors indicating otherwise. While that may (or may not) be true, it also seems that Nintendo will talk about its platform as part of its Q2 earnings next Wednesday – which certainly makes sense. Toto is more confidence in his source about Super Mario Run than NX.

We first found out about The Alliance Alive, FuRyu’s new 3DS RPG, through Jump last week. Famitsu follows up with plenty of additional information in this week’s issue. Along with a preview of the game itself, the magazine also spoke with a few developers.

The Alliance Alive should be considered as a new classic RPG. It uses the standards of RPGs while reconstructing the genre with the latest technology.

In The Alliance Alive, the world has been conquered by the Demon Clan for hundreds of years. It’s a world split into a number of zones, each having a unique culture. A story is told about humans who oppose the demon’s domination.

The player controls the protagonist and moves them on a distant field map. The battle system uses Symbol Encounter.

As previously mentioned, there are nine main characters, and all of them are protagonists. They begin their journeys with different plans at first, but everyone will eventually gather and move towards a single goal.

Characters include:

Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death is in development for 3DS, according to the latest issue of Famitsu.

Koei Tecmo’s Ruby Party, who makes the Neo Romance series, is working on the project. The TV anime’s visual staff are also involved.

Here’s what we know thus far:

– Original story set in a certain old castle
– The protagonist is an original character who belongs to the Survey Corps
– In a desperate situation after losing their equipment and wandering an old castle, players must plot to escape alongside familiar characters
– Choose the protagonist’s gender
– If you select a male, Mikasa will be your partne
– If you select a female, Levi will be your partner
– As the story progresses, you’ll be able to take action with various characters
– Takes place place before the encounter with the Female Titan

Development is 30 percent complete. The game does not currently have a release window.

Unfortunately, Game Freak didn’t quite manage to do what it needed to to hide some of Pokemon Sun/Moon’s secrets in the new demo. YouTube user Kaphotics has been data mining extensively, and has shared some major information about the final game. Head past the break for more.

Those playing through the new Pokemon Sun/Moon demo have spotted a new Alolan Form Pokemon. Since this might be considered a spoiler for some, head past the break for more.

Plenty of Pokemon have been revealed as new inclusions in Sun/Moon, but we definitely haven’t seen everything yet. That’s even more evident now through a leak that has surfaced from a booster box image of the trading card game.

Since the Pokemon hasn’t been officially announced and may classify as a spoiler for some, we’ve posted the image after the break.
