Nintendo appeared at Apple’s conference in September to announce Super Mario Run. The new mobile game will debut first on iOS in December.

When the game was revealed, Apple put some special functionality on iTunes. Users have been able to receive a notification when Super Mario Run is made available. According to Apple CEO Tim Cook, 20 million users have done this so far.

We also have a couple of other random notes from Cook’s visit to Nintendo. The company said that he stopped by for an hour, and also met with president Tatsumi Kimishima.

As the brief opening movie explains, a cold case is when the trail of evidence in a crime investigation has gone cold. Chase: Cold Case Investigations ~Distant Memories~, aside from having a mouthful of a title, is a visual novel following two detectives working in the Tokyo Police Department. The setup is that the case of a five year old murder deemed an accident is reopened after an anonymous phone call to the Cold Case Unit.

On its Japanese website, Nintendo is giving fans a photo tour of sorts from its storage area. It’s here where some of the old consoles and peripherals are held.

One of the big items highlighted in Nintendo’s new post is a photo of a working Famicom Disk System Disk Writer. This was used many years ago to print games onto blank cartridges. Other than that, Nintendo opens a Famicom and the Famicom Disk System expansion, showing it all in mint condition.

We’ve attached the photos below.

More:

XSEED has finally confirmed that Corpse Party will arrive in North America on October 25. It will cost $50 at retail as part of the limited “Back to School Edition” physical release, and a $30 digital option will also be available.

Corpse Party is also slated for Europe, where it will only be sold digitally starting on October 26.

In other news, Exile’s End is also coming out on October 25, but not on Wii U. XSEED says details regarding the eShop version and European release “will be provided at a later time.” When we do see it, the title will cost $9.99.

Head past the break for overviews of both Corpse Party and Exile’s End. We also have new assets for both below.

Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon will have some stereoscopic 3D support, but its usage appears to be very minimal. IGN’s Jose Otero, who went hands-on with the games recently along with other media as part of a press tour, says he was told that the feature only works with Poke Finder.

Pokemon X/Y and Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire all included 3D. It was disabled in a majority of the overworld, though the functionality was offered in most battles. The engine struggled at times, so cutting back on stereoscopic 3D should improve Sun/Moon’s performance.
