What happens when Phoenix Wright first visits the Kurain Kingdom?<\/strong><\/p>\n

– To meet up with the Maya Fey, who is in training, Phoenix Wright visits the Kurain Kingdom
\n– Goes sightseeing in the streets of Kurain with tour guide Bokuto Tsuani while waiting for Maya to finish
\n– As this happens, the Kurain Kingdom\u2019s prized treasure, the \u201cJewel of the Founder,\u201d is stolen
\n– Its guard is murdered as well
\n– There’s testimony from chief priest Potdino who is said to have witnessed the incident
\n– Bokuto is arrested on charges of theft and murder by means of the \u201c\u201dOracle of the Spirit\u201d who projects what the victim saw just before his death<\/p>\n

What the heck is the \u201cCrime of Defense?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

– The courtroom of the Kurain Kingdom is a spiritual medium trial absent of lawyers
\n– There is no room for the accused to explain their case\u2014they\u2019ll be \u201cguilty\u201d
\n– Phoenix Wright believes in Bokuto\u2019s innocence
\n– He volunteers to defend Bokuto to prevent that from happening
\n– As soon as Phoenix distinguishes himself as a lawyer, his attitude completely changes
\n– He despises Phoenix and will not speak the truth
\n– If he continues his defense, he\u2019ll be accused of a the \u201cCrime of Defense\u201d<\/p>\n

Potdino Niwackus: Temple Chief Priest and Musician<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Devout follower of the Kurain faith
\n– Chief priest of the Jiin Temple
\n– Calls his \u201cdamaran,\u201d an instrument of the Kurain people, his partner, and performs the musical accompaniment to Leifa\u2019s Dedication Dances
\n– Fascinates the audience listening to the trial and even the presiding judge as he sings the music of his people while testifying
\n– He says he saw the scene where Bokuto killed the victim, but…<\/p>\n

Mitamaru: Bokuto\u2019s Faithful Pup<\/strong><\/p>\n
