Today, Capcom announced that its IC Card-based 3DS game will release in Japan on December 8. It will be free-to-play with item-based micro-transactions. Capcom is also planning a 5,800 yen Collector\u2019s Package and 9,800 yen Complete Edition special editions.<\/p>\n
A new set of screenshots and details for Megami Meguri were sent out today. We’ve rounded that up below, courtesy of Gematsu.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
– Tsukomo is a novice goddess
\n– She aims to become an amazing goddess
\n– In order to do that, she travels around the country with Amaterasu
\n– In order to come of age as a goddess, she must go on a pilgrimage to meet and be acknowledged by her superiors
\n– These are the so-called Seven Pillar Goddesses
\n– Players need to help Tsukomo make offerings around the nation to become a great goddess
\n– Roll the dice and traveling the railways on the huge map featuring over 9,000 train stops from around the nation
\n– Journey takes place on a board featuring the over 9,000 train stations
\n– Roll the dice and move as many spaces as the number you rolled
\n– 2 types of spaces: station spaces and regular spaces
\n– Events take place corresponding to the symbols on the spaces
\n– Station spaces: the green spaces represent all the train stations of Japan on the board; when you stop on a station space, an event will occur according to the symbol on it; if you stop on a station space without a symbol, a conversation with Tsukomo will start
\n– Superior Goddess symbol: Undergo a trial administered by a superior goddess
\n– Offering Box symbol: obtain offerings necessary to meet the superior goddesses
\n– Wardrobe symbol: obtain goddess garb that upgrades Tsukomo\u2019s various abilities
\n– Ingredient symbol: acquire ingredients necessary for cooking
\n– Specter symbol: Exterminate the specters
\n– Regular spaces: yellow spaces are the tracks that connect between stations; if you stop on a regular space with a symbol on it, events leading to acquisition of offering items or mini games may occur.
\n– Offering Coin symbol: obtain offering coins necessary for using supernatural abilities
\n– Mini Game symbol: one communication between the player and Tsukomo; Tsukomo\u2019s abilities rise depending on the results
\n– When you reach a spot lacking a symbol, you can have a conversation with Tsukomo
\n– Tsukomo will ask players different questions here
\n– She’ll also talk with you about the words you teach her
\n– Deepen your bond with her by teaching her things about yourself and words, this is connected to her growth as well<\/p>\n
Megami Speak Engine<\/p>\n
– This is a newly developed artificial voice synthesis system from Capcom and Toshiba
\n– Uses Toshiba\u2019s voice synthesis engine ToSpeak G3as
\n– Engine is used in Megami Meguri by having the character make use of user-inputted words and converse in a near natural-sounding synthetic voice
\n– Teach Tsukumo more words to deepen your level of communication and influence her
\n– Things such as her topic\u2019s will change as a result
\n– Communicate more to have her become \u201cyour very own\u201d Tsukumo
\n– Ex: Tsukumo will try changing her hair style based on what you tell her you like.<\/p>\n
Costumes<\/p>\n
– Can acquire costumes throughout the game
\n– Costumes are called \u201cShini\u201d (God Clothing)
\n– Use costumes to strengthen Tsukumo\u2019s goddess powers
\n– When Tsukumo puts on a Shini, her appearance changes
\n– Her tone of speech also changes to match the outfit
\n– Experience special conversations this way
\n– Costumes also consist of head pieces
\n– Ex: if Tsukumo wears a pair of cat ears, she\u2019ll add \u201cnyaa\u201d to the end of her dialogue
\n– Retro nurse: when Tsukumo wears the \u201cNurse\u201d outfit, you can enjoy nurse-like conversations; may gently heal you as well<\/p>\n
IC Card<\/p>\n
– Game works with IC Cards
\n– Cards are used by those in Japan to ride the train and shop
\n– Tsukumo is an artifact spirit that dwells within such an IC Card
\n– Megami Meguri can read the history recorded in your IC Card using the NFC functionality of the 3DS
\n– Use this to obtain in-game items, or to trigger conversations about stations you\u2019ve been to payments you\u2019ve made
\n– Visit specific stations to receive exclusive costumes for Tsukumo
\n– Tsukumo will ask about the stations you\u2019ve gone to
\n– You can respond by telling her why you went to that station and such
\n– Tsukumo will ask about the contents of your shopping based on your payment history
\n– You can respond by telling her what you purchased and such<\/p>\n
Amaterasu Okami (voiced by Yuka Ozaki)<\/p>\n
– A \u201cgoddess to train goddesses\u201d that the player
\n– Tsukumo meets Amaterasu at the beginning of the game
\n– She\u2019ll accompany the player and Tsukumo on their journey in a temporary form
\n– Amaterasu has plenty of knowledge and talents, possesses great supernatural power, and stands at the top of all other goddesses
\n– She ended up getting manipulated by the goddesses with stronger personalities and suffered many hardships
\n– Very caring and has a friendly personality
\n– Amaterasu is greatly trusted by the other goddesses
\n– She worries a bit because she looks somewhat young to hold such a high position
\n– Amaterasu (Avatar): Amaterasu\u2019s temporary form; As Tsukumo\u2019s guide to become a full-fledged goddess, Amaterasu will accompany the player and Tsukumo on their journey<\/p>\n
