Most major retailers that sell video games will offer Nintendo Labo kits. You can order online from your favorite online retailers or check with your local retail stores. All the parts and software included in each Nintendo Labo kit are made to work together, so they\u2019re always sold together.<\/p>\n

Make<\/h2>\n
Some of the Toy-Con projects look pretty complicated. Will I be able to make them correctly?<\/b><\/p>\n
Don\u2019t worry. Each kit includes interactive, step-by-step instructions for the Toy-Con creations in that kit on the included software cartridge. These instructions are easily accessible on the Nintendo Switch system (sold separately) and let you zoom in on a picture of the piece you\u2019re building, view it from different angles, and go back if you want to check something again.<\/p>\n
And remember, it\u2019s also fun to build things together with your older siblings, parents, or friends!<\/p>\n
Do you have any tips?<\/b><\/p>\n
There is a trick to making your creations look even better: the “pre-fold.”<\/p>\n
Pre-folding means creasing the fold before you assemble the Toy-Con project. This makes the angles and folds sharper so they fit together better, which results in a better-looking finished project.<\/p>\n
When folding larger or longer parts, it helps to go back over the crease using more pressure. This gives you a cleaner line.<\/p>\n
The interactive instructions will point out how and where to pre-fold.<\/p>\n
What do I need to make these Toy-Con projects?<\/b><\/p>\n
All you need is a Nintendo Switch system (sold separately) and Nintendo Labo kit, which includes the engineered cardboard sheets, accessories, and Nintendo Labo software for that kit. No tools are necessary to build Toy-Con projects.<\/p>\n
Simply pop the pieces out… And put the parts together.<\/p>\n
What if I mess up a step or two?<\/b><\/p>\n
If your Toy-Con project isn\u2019t turning out quite right, don\u2019t panic. You can rewind the on-screen instructions and rotate the shape on the screen to match what you see, then go forward from there. You may need to carefully redo a fold to get yourself back on track. And you can always ask a parent or friend for help!<\/p>\n

Since Toy-Con creations are made of cardboard, repairs can often be made with common household materials like tape and glue. You can use colorful masking tape to fix and decorate your creation at the same time.<\/p>\n
Also, we recommend that you keep your cardboard sheets, even after the pieces have been removed from them. That way you can use the empty spaces created by the removed parts to trace and cut out spare parts from extra cardboard.<\/p>\n

The time it takes to build a Toy-Con project varies based on its complexity and the skill of the builder. Some Toy-Con projects may only take 10-20 minutes, while others could take several hours. What if I lose some parts?<\/b><\/p>\n
A good way to prevent this is by storing your Toy-Con parts together. For example, you could keep the smaller parts in any bag you happen to have handy.<\/p>\n
The waveform and rhythm cards used with the Toy-Con Piano are easy to store by wrapping some string (not included) around them. Try placing the little bits that come out of the rhythm cards in a box to make them easier to keep track of.<\/p>\n
Smaller parts such as knobs for the Toy-Con Piano or tools for the Toy-Con Robot can be stored inside the main Toy-Con they are used with.<\/p>\n

At first it might be a little tricky to put on the Toy-Con Robot suit by yourself, but the included software shows you how to do it. Be sure to take a look before you try to wear the suit.<\/p>\n
Are there two-player modes?<\/b><\/p>\n
Most Nintendo Labo software is designed as a single-player experience. However, two-player modes are available for a couple of Toy-Con creations.<\/p>\n
Two players can engage two Toy-Con RC Cars in a sumo-inspired competition, or race them against each other, using the two RC Cars included in the Variety Kit, one Nintendo Switch console, and two sets of Joy-Con controllers. (Nintendo Switch system sold separately; one set of Joy-Con controllers comes with the Nintendo Switch system, and the second set is sold separately.)<\/p>\n
Two users, each with their own Toy-Con Robot, can battle one another on a single Nintendo Switch screen (additional Robot Kit and Joy-Con controllers required; sold separately).<\/p>\n
Also, you can invent your own multiplayer games in Toy-Con Garage mode. It\u2019s a lot of fun, so be sure to try it out.<\/p>\n

Once the build is complete, you can make each Toy-Con creation your own by customizing it with paint, markers, stickers, and other accessories (customization tools and materials not included). The only limit is your imagination!<\/p>\n
Careful, though: the Nintendo Switch system and Joy-Con controllers are electronic devices, so be sure to remove them from your Toy-Con creation before you decorate.<\/p>\n
Pro tip on painting: Be sure to mix your paint with only a tiny bit of water to keep the colors vivid and the cardboard sturdy.<\/p>\n
What is the extra sheet included with each kit for?<\/b><\/p>\n
An additional sheet of engineered cardboard is included with each kit that you can use to customize your Toy-Con creations. For example, the sheet for the Variety Kit includes an additional roof for the Toy-Con House, while the sheet included with the Robot Kit includes a customization piece for the robot visor.<\/p>\n
These extra sheets also include extra parts that you can use when inventing your own ways to play with the included Toy-Con Garage mode such as a piece of cardboard shaped like a person or Nintendo Switch screen covers. You can use these however you like!<\/p>\n
Can children use the Toy-Con Garage mode?<\/b><\/p>\n

Will I be able to make them correctly?<\/b><\/p>\nDon\u2019t worry. Each kit includes interactive, step-by-step instructions for the Toy-Con creations in that kit on the included software cartridge. We expect to see fans of all ages trying these experiences.<\/p>\nThe time it takes to build a Toy-Con project varies based on its complexity and the skill of the builder. Some Toy-Con projects may only take 10-20 minutes, while others could take several hours.
