A new batch of details and screenshots are in for Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland. Today’s update covers returning characters Totooria \u201cTotori\u201d Helmold and Mimi Houllier von Schwarzlang, the Alchemy Riddle, Lulua’s journey, the evolved world of Arland, and the new “Awakening Effect” synthesis system. Totooria \u201cTotori\u201d Helmold<\/strong><\/p>\n

– An alchemy evangelist expanding worldwide
\n– An alchemist and disciple of Rorona
\n– Her skills in alchemy rival Rorona\u2019s
\n– She is an influential player in alchemy in Arland
\n– She shares a blood sister-like relationship with Piana, and is currently working to take her alchemy worldwide
\n– Has long often unconsciously given others a sharp tongue, but nowadays she seems to be a lot more mindful<\/p>\n

Mimi Houllier von Schwarzlang<\/strong><\/p>\n

– The noble Totori\u2019s bodyguard
\n– She is the most influential among adventurers in Arland
\n– Her spearmanship skills are among its best
\n– Close friends with Totori, who she travels with and is irreplaceable in her eyes
\n– Originally from a city of nobles, she is prideful and determined<\/p>\n

The Mystery of the Alchemy Riddle<\/strong><\/p>\n

– The Alchemy Riddle is an ancient text that only Lulua can read
\n– When Lulua is in a pinch, it will suddenly emit a light, and alchemy-related information will rise to the surface
\n– Unknown who wrote it and why it appeared before Lulua
\n– There are many mysteries around this ancient text, but Lulua herself does not seem to care much
\n– She has the positive attitude that, “If I can study alchemy with the Alchemy Riddle, I might be able to become an alchemist like my mom!”<\/p>\n

The Survival of the Atelier is in Danger!?<\/strong><\/p>\n

– A letter arrives for Rorona during her absence
\n– The letter is a notice from the Arland Republic that the business license for Rorona\u2019s atelier wll expire
\n– In order to save her mother\u2019s atelier, Lulua sets off for Arland
\n– Lulua is in panic about the possible disappearance of her beloved mother\u2019s atelier
\n– With Piana\u2019s advice, she heads to Arland
\n– Lulua\u2019s hear hammers on the journey to her mother\u2019s birthplace<\/p>\n

A World Map that the Player Unfolds: Explore Every Corner of Arland<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Exploration based on Atelier Totori
\n– The system sees players explore maps to unlock new maps
\n– New maps will also appear by deciphering the Alchemy Riddle
\n– How Arland\u2019s areas open up is up to you
\n– Formidable foes may be lurking in the map\u2019s depths
\n– By gathering information on the monsters and collectible items that appear on a map, that map\u2019s \u201cExploration Percentage\u201d will rise
\n– When Exploration Percentage reaches 100 percent, the chance of finding high quality items increases<\/p>\n

Map: Eternal Spring Water Woods<\/strong><\/p>\n

– The Eternal Spring Water Woods is a map of clear air and beautiful water
\n– It is also Arculis\u2019 source of water
\n– In order synthesize an item requested by Aurel, the Alchemy Riddle guides Lulua and company here in search of the ingredients
\n– Lulua and Eva link up with Aurel, who had come to the area to exterminate monsters, and somewhat forcibly ask for his help
\n– How can they get the \u201cBeard of the Big Fish\u201d possessed by the Guardian that lives underwater?
\n– As Lulua and company are unsure of what to do, the Alchemy Riddle begins to shine again<\/p>\n

Awakening Effects: More Control Over Synthesis! Draw Out Materials\u2019 Hidden Powers<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Atelier Lulua introduces a new synthesis element called \u201cAwakening Effect\u201d
\n– An Awakening Effect is the hidden effect originally possessed by a material
\n– By synthesizing with an item that possesses an Awakening Effect as an ingredient, you can create items with effects that do not appear in standard synthesis
\n– When synthesizing a Donor Stone, if you use an ingredient with an \u201cAdditional Fire Damage\u201d Awakening Effect, the Donor Stone will have both its traditional \u201cThunder Damage\u201d effect and the additional \u201cFire Damage\u201d effect<\/p>\n

Use Awakening Effects to Create Even Better Items<\/strong><\/p>\n

– There are various Awakening Effects
\n– Do not overlook those that can add new categories to synthesized items
\n– Ex: when you apply the \u201cAwakening (Flavoring)\u201d effect to the neutralizing agent, the neutralizing agent that would normally be a different category can be used for synthesizing ingredients from the Flavoring category<\/p>\n\n\n \t\t\n\t\t\t\t
