Back in May<\/a>, Square Enix announced Star Ocean: First Departure R, an HD remaster of Star Ocean: First Departure, which itself was a remake of the very first Star Ocean game. Ahead of Tokyo Game Show 2019, where the game will be featured, Square Enix published the first four screenshots of the game, as well as a little description on their TGS site<\/a> (credit goes to Gematsu<\/a> for the translation):<\/p>\n

The 2007-released remake of Star Ocean<\/em>\u2014Star Ocean: First Departure<\/em>\u2014appears as a high-definition port with new features! In addition to the high-definition upgrade, the game is fully voiced through new recordings by the original Star Ocean<\/em> cast. The character illustrations have also been redrawn based on the original designs, which you can switch between with the original remake illustrations.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n \t\t\n\t\t\t\t
