Spike Chunsoft published a new batch of details and screenshots for Katana Kami: A Way of the Samurai Story today. The latest update covers bodyguards, accessories, and outfits.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Bodyguards<\/strong><\/p>\n

– At the Kurou Family\u2019s shop on the Hill of Six Bones, you can pay a contract fee to hire a bodyguard to take along to Jikai (the other world)
\n– Bodyguards have a \u201cDan\u201d ranking that indicates their level
\n– When they level up, their HP fully recovers
\n– The player\u2019s Dan ranking is reset each time he returns to the real world, but the bodyguard\u2019s Dan caries over
\n– If a bodyguard\u2019s HP is fully depleted during your journey, you can pay an additional contract fee to fully restore his HP and bring him back to life
\n– Some bodyguards have special \u201crequests\u201d you have to clear to be able to hire them<\/p>\n

Bodyguards You Can Hire Early in the Game<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Toryuu Kirishima: Special Skill: Destroy Traps with Will-Power, Brotherly Prostration
\n– Tenpo Imagawa: Special Skill: Psuedo Sword Carve
\n– Chichiue: Special Skill: Treasure Scent, Dog Wheel
\n– Haniwa Maru: Special Skill: Bomb Victim, Share<\/p>\n

Bodyguard Evolution<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Dedicated events may occur as a result of \u201crequests\u201d from bodyguards
\n– Enjoy watching your bodyguard comrade evolve in shape and ability in accordance with their story<\/p>\n

Customize Your Character with Accessories and Outfits<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Can change your character\u2019s appearance with accessories and outfits
\n– Buy from these from the Akadama Clan\u2019s shop on the Hill of Six Bones
\n– Accessories can be configured in the equipment field on the menu screen, while outfits can be changed in the closet at the smithy<\/p>\n

Accessories<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Over 100 accessories
\n– In addition to those that change your appearance, there are various accessories with support effects
\n– Can equip up to five accessories at a time
\n– Can have several support effects active at once
\n– If you die in Jikai, your accessories will be lost<\/p>\n

Outfits<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Can change the player\u2019s outfit
