Square Enix has unveiled a great many new details on Bravely Default II, along with some new art and gameplay screenshots. Check it out below.<\/p>\n

Savalon, The Drought Kingdom<\/strong><\/p>\n

A country turned into a desert by the lumbering and wars by the dynasty of 200 years prior. Although underground water veins were discovered, the town is beginning to submerge as a result. It is also known for its luxurious casino hall.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Wiswald, The Magic Kingdom<\/strong><\/p>\n

A country established by mages with Emma Odilia at the helm nearly 50 years prior. Mages have been dedicating themselves to their studies at the Magic Research Institute, which also serves as a government body, but now the town is overgrown with vegetation and in disorder.<\/p>\n

\u25a0 Characters: Savalon<\/strong><\/p>\n

First Prince Castor<\/strong> (voiced by Satoshi Hino)
\nThe first prince of Savalon, prominent in the literary and military arts.
\nAlthough he participates on the council on behalf of King Leon, he is worried about its current state under the control of wealthy merchants who prioritize profits over national politics and the people\u2019s happiness.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Second Prince Boor<\/strong> (voiced by Shougo Sakata)
\nPrince Castor\u2019s younger brother. He is a kind prince who cares for and worries about his brother, who tends to be reckless. He is currently away from Savalon, studying abroad to expand his horizons.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Chief Archivist Andro<\/strong> (voiced by Shozo Sasaki)
\nA man who works as the Chief Archivist of Savalon. The Chief Archivist records the events that occur in the kingdom, comparing them to those of the past, and assists the king.<\/p>\n

Olfa Dragordia<\/strong> (voiced by Nobuo Tobita)
\nTroubadour Asterisk Holder.
\nA poet employed by Bernard Alphard, owner of the casino hall.
\nA man who loves tragic plays and often speaks in a way belittling of others. He was once employed as the court poet of Musa, but was banished from the kingdom.<\/p>\n

Shaula Clarence<\/strong> (voiced by Junko Minagawa)
\nGambler Asterisk Holder.
\nA voluptuous gambler who frequents the casino hall.
\nA wicked woman who challenges the men seduced by her beauty to card games, taking all their money and using them as pawns.<\/p>\n

Nihal<\/strong> (voiced by Yukiyo Fujii)
\nBeastmaster Asterisk Holder.
\nA reticent woman who puts on beast and animal performances at the casino hall.
\nShe was a member of a traveling acrobatics troupe, but was picked up by Bernard Alphard after a monster attack left her alone.<\/p>\n

Bernard Alphard<\/strong> (voiced by Takaya Kuroda)
\nThief Asterisk Holder.
\nOwner of Savalon\u2019s famous casino hall.
\nA man who built the casino hall of a lifetime and is now a member of the council. He is the one who discovered the underground water veins and brought an influx of water to Savalon.<\/p>\n

\u25a0 Characters: Wiswald<\/strong><\/p>\n

Emma Odilia<\/strong> (voiced by Masako Katsuki)
\nElvis and Rody\u2019s late master. As the central figure in the founding of Wiswald, she was a just and impartial mage.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Rody Grenadine<\/strong> (voiced by Yasunori Matsumoto)
\nRed Mage Asterisk Holder.
\nHead of the Magic Research Institute, as well as the leader of Wiswald.
\nElvis\u2019 senior pupil, together they studied magic under the guidance of Emma Odilia. Since losing his daughter in an accident, he has holed himself up in the Magic Research Institute devoted to some sort of research.<\/p>\n

Lily Grenadine<\/strong> (voiced by Miki Narahashi)
\nHunter Asterisk Holder.
\nRody Grenadine\u2019s wife, and the woman who supports him behind the scenes.
\nSince losing her daughter, she has holed herself up in the forest near the town. However, she is said to be living there with her daughter who died\u2026<\/p>\n

Galahad Kelly<\/strong> (voiced by Hiroki Yasumoto)<\/p>\n

Shield Master Asterisk Holder.
\nGuardsman of the Magic Research Institute. Although born in Rimedahl, he was taken in by a distant relative living in Wiswald after the death of his parents. He blames himself for the death of Rody and Lily\u2019s daughter.<\/p>\n

\u25a0 Systems<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to a traditional, turn-based battle system, you can enjoy innovative and strategic battles unique to the Bravely<\/em> series with elements such as \u201cspecial attacks\u201d that buff your party in real-time, and \u201csupport abilities\u201d that can be combined with multiple jobs.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Special Moves<\/strong>
\nIn addition to powerful \u201cspecial moves\u201d that can be activated under certain conditions in battle, dedicated special move background music buffs the entire party. The buff remains for long as the music continues to play after activation, giving you the opportunity to quickly wipe out your enemies.<\/p>\n

\u2014Beastmaster Special Move: \u201cLet\u2019s Do Our Best Together!\u201d<\/em>
\nSummons a large number of monsters and unleashes a powerful physical attack on all enemies. Increases the entire party\u2019s physical attack and magic attack power.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u2014White Mage Special Move: \u201cSacred Light\u201d<\/em>
\nRecovers a large portion of all allies\u2019 HP, as well as cures all status ailments. Increases the entire party\u2019s physical defense and magic defense power.<\/p>\n

Use special moves to wipe out enemies in real-time.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Support Abilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

By mastering a job, in addition to command abilities you can use in battle, you can also equip and learn support abilities that buff your character. Learned support abilities can be equipped even if you change jobs, allowing you to combine them with other jobs.<\/p>\n

\u2014\u201cEmpty Handed\u201d (Monk)<\/em>
\nWhen both hands are free of equipment, physical attack power and accuracy rate significantly increase.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u2014\u201cAspir Attack\u201d (Black Mage)<\/em>
\nRestores MP based on the damage dealt by the \u201cAttack\u201d command.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Field Actions<\/strong><\/p>\n

By slashing your sword at monsters wandering the field, you can start the battle with Brave Attack activated to gain an additional Brave Point (BP). You can also use your sword to cut the grass on the field to find items.<\/p>\n

\u2014The situation at the start of the battle changes depending on whether you approach the enemy from behind, get snuck up on by the enemy yourself, or strike them with your sword.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2014If your Brave Attack is a success, you will start the battle with an additional Brave Point.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2014If you cut down grass, you may find an item.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u25a0 Jobs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Troubadour<\/strong>
\nSupports the party through the power of poetry.
\nAn assist job that protects the party\u2019s status. With a number of total effect skills on hand, the Troubadour is a reliable ally against strong enemies.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Beastmaster<\/strong>
\nA shortstop that employs various monsters.
\nThe Beastmaster captures and employs its prey. From offense to relief, it can fight flexibly according to the situation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gambler<\/strong>
\nLeaves it to luck to turn the tables.
\nA gambling job unafraid to take a risk. With luck on its side, the Gambler aims for a big return.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Berserker<\/strong>
\nPulverizes enemies with its trusty axe.
\nAn attacker that wields an axe with high attack power to demolish its enemies.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Red Mage<\/strong>
\nAn all-purpose mage prominent in both offense and defense.
\nThis universal mage job can use both attack magic and recovery magic.<\/p>\n

Hunter<\/strong>
\nAnalyzes the enemy to pierce their weak point.
\nA master of the bow, the Hunter unleashes powerful blows that pierce the enemy\u2019s weak point.<\/p>\n

Shield Master<\/strong>
\nThe party\u2019s iron fortress that stands on the front line.
\nA defense-specialized job that wards off attacks and protects its allies with high defense power and a large shield.<\/p>\n

Pictomancer<\/strong>
\nAn artist that repaints the battle.
\nA job that debuffs the enemy through by utilizing various colors.<\/p>\n

\u25a0 Network<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Bravely<\/em> series\u2019 familiar \u201cSingle-Player RPG You Can Play With Everyone\u201d element returns. In Bravely Default II<\/em>, you can utilize the time the game is in sleep mode to help grow your characters.<\/p>\n

\u201cSearch\u201d: Take Advantage of the Time You Are Unable to Play<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cSearch\u201d mode, in which you rent a boat to explore the seas, is a handy feature that allows you to earn rewards based on the amount of time your game is in sleep mode. By \u201csearching\u201d when you are unable to play, you can obtain items that assist your growth, including experience points and job points. While you can use this feature offline, if you are connected to the internet, players from other worlds will help you and further increase your rewards.<\/p>\n

\u2014You can start \u201cSearch\u201d mode by visiting the elderly woman who rents boat in the starting country.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2014Your rewards will increase based on the amount of time your game is asleep. You can continue to \u201csearch\u201d for up to 12 hours, so make the most of your time when you go to bed or go out.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n \t\t\n\t\t\t\t
