April 24: According to the latest issue of Famitsu, Compile Heart is developing Death end re;Quest CodeZ for Switch. The game launches September 19, 2024 in Japan.

Death end re;Quest CodeZ, a roguelike RPG with Shiren the Wanderer-like 3D dungeons, offers a new story in which all the all-stars from the series appear. There’ll also be over 100 Death Ends.

Since it’s carrying a CERO Z rating, the game will have a significantly higher level of brutality. Compile Heart is planning scenes such as bones breaking, flesh tearing, and necks twisting with realistic sound effects.

The project was first technically made known in October as Death end re;Quest Code:Zion. However, very little was known at the time – including confirmed platforms.

While Famitsu has the scoop on Death end re;Quest CodeZ, the official reveal will be taking place later today. If there’s anything else notable that comes in about the game, we’ll let you know. For now, check out a teaser trailer below.

Teaser Trailer
