TMNT: Splintered Fate reveals major update, Metalhead DLC character

Super Evil Megacorp has announced a major update for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate, going live next week on September 30.

The update will introduce a brand new playable character, Metalhead, alongside a fresh game mode called New Arcade Mode. Players can also look forward to additional Metalhead companion content, plus more than 100 gameplay improvements that will be available for free.

NEW PLAYABLE CHARACTER DLC – METALHEAD ENTERS THE FIGHT
Metalhead has created a device to investigate a mysterious realm, the portals, and their connection to the Turtles’ enemies. But something goes horribly wrong… a rift opens beneath NYC, directly under Rupert’s Pizza, to Mikey’s horror. The Turtle family, together with Metalhead, must enter the realm to stop the chaos from consuming the city.

As the sixth hero on the Splintered Fate roster, Metalhead brings a brand-new playstyle and build strategies to master. He is our first full-range hero, armed with a powerful laser gun, explosive landmines that will detonate on enemy contact, and tactical skills to keep enemies at bay. The DLC also comes with 5 new artifacts to spice up your runs.

MAJOR TITLE UPDATE – FREE FOR ALL PLAYERS
While the new Metalhead DLC will be available separately, we’re also releasing a Major Title Update that will be completely FREE for all Splintered Fate players to download. Simply update your game on September 30 and jump right in to the new content!

NEW ARCADE MODE – HEX AND FLEX YOUR WAY TO THE RIFT (Free)
A brand-new game mode has arrived. Arcade Mode is intense, fast-paced, and unpredictable. It offers unique challenge runs to push you and your friends’ skills to the limit.

Central to this mode is the new Hex and Flex system. At each level break, choose one of three Hex and Flex combos. These combos can both empower you with strong advantages (Flex) and weaken you with serious drawbacks (Hex). Strategy is key, as every run becomes an unpredictable adventure.

Highlights include:

Hex and Flex system offering major variety (and plenty of chaos) to each run

A fast-paced and accessible mode, perfect for quick sessions solo or with friends

Three new biomes that twist reality inside out: the Spectral Sewers, Astral Ship, and Manic Metropolis

An all-new Wraith enemy set with multiple variants: multi-limbed beings that fire homing projectiles and teleport for added chaos

Enemy Invasion: The realm reshapes battles in unexpected ways, creating unpredictable enemy combinations

Available for free for all players, find Arcade Mode through the new Home Lair portal to Metalhead’s Lab and jump into the action! We will be adding more content to the mode soon, stay tuned for more!

METALHEAD COMPANION CONTENT (Free)
Metalhead’s debut ties directly into this new free mode, bringing additional content for all players. Players will be able to enjoy this mode even if they haven’t bought the Metalhead DLC.
