Gridbeat announced for Nintendo Switch with a demo coming this month

Legendary publisher Acclaim, alongside developer Ridiculous Games, has announced its new game Gridbeat for Nintendo Switch. A release date hasn’t been set, but a demo is confirmed to launch later this month.

In Gridbeat, players take on the role of a hacker who has just broken into Knoss.OS, the most secure corporate network on the planet, and escaped with highly valuable data. Now trapped inside the sprawling digital maze of the Mainframe, every key press becomes a beat, and every movement a measure in a frantic fight for survival.

The demo features three difficulty options and is designed to help players sharpen their hacking skills before diving into Knoss.OS in the full game, which is scheduled to launch this spring.

Dungeons! Danger! Rhythm Action! You just hacked into the biggest corporation in the world and stole an unfeasibly valuable amount of data, but getting in was the easy part. To get back out you’ll need to explore the Mainframe, solve puzzles, battle security programs… and do it all on the beat!
