Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is Switch’s best-selling third-party title

Posted on September 21, 2017 by (@tylerlelliott) in News, Switch

Ubisoft-developed Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is now the top-selling, non-Nintendo game on the Switch according to physical sales tracked across North America and Australia. The sales demonstrate clear fan interest in crossover titles, and such success could potentially lead to future collaborations.

    That’s because it is incredible!

The game has been so much fun that I was unable to put it down, lol.

it’s an awesome Strategy-RPG, actually more complicated and deep in its systems with casual enough characters, definitely deserves its praise

Does it? I haven’t played it yet. It looks kinda bland to me. Maybe it’s better than it looks.

Simply watching videos don’t convey how fun it is to play. The game will kick your butt if you’re not careful.

I just saw that I forgot to finish my sentence midway, lol, was about to write how it’s more deep and complicated than Fire Emblem, which isn’t much to begin with and should have evolved its maps and systems long ago, now it’s devolved ffs… but Mario + Rabbids Kingdom is definitely better than it looks, each character is suited for something different so you have to think about who to use for the next battle, each character has several skill trees with power orbs that you can find in treasure boxes and after each battle as a reward, also money which lets you buy new weapons, which you unlock by finding them on maps and so on, a well deserved 9/10 game

It deserves it. It’s a really fun strategy RPG that’s a joy to look at.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Mario + Rabbids outsold Arms. Better reviews and Ubisoft’s aggressive marketing should ensure that.

Didnt buy it due to the gameplay style but i’m glad that people were able to enjoy this game and it selling well.

I tried a few other strategy RPG games and didn’t care much for them. I gave this one a shot anyway, and I love it. It is an awesome game.

      Have you tried XCOM ?
If you liked this one it’s worth giving it a try.

No I haven’t. I will see what it is all about.

I was about to say “What about Minecraft?” Then I realized they meant physical titles.

    Bomberman is doomed?

  • TDude73

Ubisoft is one of the many third party supporters for Nintendo’s most reliable home/portable system ever known… the Nintendo Switch.

  • Roto Prime

Congratz Ubisoft!!! now waiting for that complete edition…..

  • Mark

That’s awesome, but I’ll feel a lot better about the Switch’s success once we start seeing AAA third party games not using Nintendo’s IP with success on par with Nintendo’s first party. Fingers crossed for Bethesda, Square, EA, 2K, and Rockstar.

  • R.Z.

I bet people are only buying this because they don’t realize it’s third party.

  • Paddy Alfan

This will shut thr haters up that judged the game just by looking at that purple swirling thingamajig.

  • masterjedi

This means the game has sold over 500k because that’s what Super Bomberman R sold. That’s really good.

  • ZakaryMcKracken

    Astonishing game

    So how MANY?
