Nothing really catches my eye. I’ve read that the Mummy game is ok (kind of Metroidvania), maybe I’ll look into that.

    • scaryscarymushroom

Shantae and the mummy are both good. Overcooked is really good too.

      • Shantae 1/2 genie hero is a fairly bad game. It’s a clear guide of how -not- to make a metroidvania game. Same as Risky’s Revenge.

Pirate’s curse is actually a solid game.

        • Andy J Holland

I did enjoy Pirate’s Curse more than 1/2 Genie Hero, which is a shame because I helped back 1/2 Genie Hero on Kickstarter.

    • Michael Richardson

      It’s a pretty cookie-cutter Metroidvania. I don’t think it’s worth more than $10 at most.

    • the switch has no games

  • Cameron Ward

are they gonna change the games out each week or is this it?

    • Carlos

When did they ever do weekly sales?

      • Cameron Ward

I was thinking they might do what PSN does where they change it out weekly during the Holidays is all.

        • Carlos

Would be nice. Probably won’t do it yet though.

      • Mark

For their older systems, like Wii U and 3DS, they always used to publish weekly eshop discounts every Thursday by noon. I’d assume that with so many titles out now, many of which have aged, we’ll probably see more regular sales.

        • Carlos

Did they? I always thought it was a once in a while thing, didn’t remember there being weekly sales. Never really went on the eshop too much though.

          • DeltaPeng

Every Thursday, things could change on the WiiU / 3DS sale page

          • Yeah they did

  • Justin McQuillen

I just hope they add Switch rewards to My Nintendo before A) I already bought every game I want or B) My 650 gold coins expire.

  • Felipe M.

Whoa, that Canadian eShop has really enticing prices. Thanks!

    • Marcelo Cardoso

No meu Wii U eu usava a conta canadense. Agora tive que criar uma americana mesmo por conta dos preços do Canadá serem mais altos

    Hey guys, what’s up?

So, there is this two Kickstarter’s campaign to raise founds for localize games. (Order Land! and PhotonCube)

They’re from 2 small Japanese developers who already released the games on Japanese eShop and now want to release overseas.

I think this is a opportunity for make a trend: if all goes right, other Japanese developers can do the same and bring niche games for the west. (Or even the big ones like Capcom’s Monster Hunter XX os Square’s Seiken Densetsu Collection).

    Order Land! —> https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1824813133/order-land-translation-project

    • Tiso Spencer

I did the PhotonCube but… Order Land! really gonna not have an actual English released trailer as their pitch video?

  • BM77

You forgot Steamworld Dig 2, it is also in this sale (and maybe another game or two, not sure)

  • DeltaPeng

I own Volgarr on Steam but it’d be fun to have on Switch…at this price I’m thinking about rebuying it.

Party Golf is on the wishlist as well, a couple others I have my eye on but may wait till the sale is a bit better

  • Marry

There aren´t many games for Switch yet dude…So you should not expect lots of rebatts. ps4 is a much older console and has literally 2000 games. Switch has only abuot 500 games. But yeah- europe-sale is better this time for Switch.

    • KCMOTO

I said ‘eShop’, meaning 3DS, Switch and such. Their “sales”, over the years (from my experience), are horrendous.

      • ジョシュ

        It’s sad but you’re right..

    • Eshop sales have never been good. I’ve gotten big budget PS3 games for like 2 or 3 dollars.

      • Marry

Dude It´s not that easy. If you get “big budget PS3”-games for like 2-3 bucks/piece it just means these games didn´t have good sales after all.

Because guess what? That´s the reason you offer rebatt. Because something didn´t sell as much as it should have/they exptected it to sell.

I got five 3DS games for free in about 5 years. 2 with 3DS-bundles and 3 for these things Nintendo made with “Too many games”.
This is something what Sony/MS don`t do either. five 3DS-games for free…That`s about 200 dollars of free games.

MS/Sony only offer “bundles”, like Ninteno does it it too. But only Nintendo gives you completely free games of your OWN CHOICE. And they do that quite often, it happened 3 times from 2011-2015.

And this christmas- in europe- the sale is much, much better than Sony`s for PSN 😉 This is said by a lot of guys in some forum. They said it´s better than what Sony has to offer this year. lol.

Same for WiIU btw. You cannot complain that Captain Toad isn`t sold for like 5 bucks dude. That´s simply never going to happen. Only bad-selling games like Starfox Zero or Starfox Guard (Indie-type of game, but filled with way more content) will be sold much cheaper.

That`s like asking for getting GTA V for like 5 dollars in PSN. Never going to happen :For same reasons: Captain Toad sold a TON of units for the base it was sold on. Just like GTA V sold a lot of units. And for this reason both of these games aren´t sold for much cheaper.

But i hear that very often from Sony/MS-fans that “NIntendo doesn´t offer much Rebatts “;)

Well, they simply don´t know how Nintendo offers their rebatts, i guess.

        Nintendo isn´t Sony after all.

I´m planning to get 5 games in this x-mas sale….But i think these will be the last ones overall. I allready own too many games you gotta know.

And for these 5 games i will not pay more than 50 bucks dude. I don`t think you can complain for that price, can you?

I plan to buy a small Tank-game for 3DS (via My Nintendo) then i plan to still get Asassins´Creed IV (which i missed many years ago) for like 20 bucks…and then i plan to get a bunch more games via MY Nintendo-rebatt.

So yeah. You see? You gotta use that, and then you gotta get a lot of rebatt. you just have to compare with retail-prices first…but often there are quite good offers dude.

It just depends on your country.

And for your information: I gotta get 2 free Indie-games this x-mas. Becasue of lots of MY Nintendo-gold-points.

See? Another thing neither Sony/MS offer.

Sony/MS offers you only paywalls, which finances these “free games”. But in many cases you don´t own these games.

I own all of my games. I plan to get 2 certain bigger Indie-games for free this x-mas.

And this means in overall i get 7 games.
3 of these will be Indies.

But i am also ordering some last 3DS-Retail-games and one bigger WiiU-game via retail-disc too.

        So yeah. I can´t complain.

On Switch it´s much worse for prices dude…

But this is normal since it´s “Nintendo of America”.

Nintendo of America isn´t giving you much rebatts. LIke i said: It will take 2-3 yeras until Switch-eshop will offer you many good rebatts which are worth it.

  • Ezereal

    I’ll take Shantae 🙂

  • JJ

Wake me when Namco Museum goes on sale-that title is at least 1/3 too expensive.
