Sad when amazing games like Skyrim, LA Noire, Resident Evil Revelations and Doom are not even in the top 20 for the Switch.

This console is going to be make or break for a lot of third parties. If games aren’t going to sell they will just go where the sales are. I really hope Dark Souls and Bayonetta 1,2, and 3 fair better.

Aren’t these for digital downloads from the eshop only though? Are those games you mentioned there digital only? If they aren’t then I don’t think it really reflects how they’re performing. : )

It could be argued that digital sales reflect greater then physical sales. Sure it doesn’t paint the whole picture but paints a broad enough one to take a strong guess that those games aren’t selling enough. If they we’re selling good enough they would be tracking in digital sales as well.

I just want third party games to sell great on Nintendo platforms again. Not just Indies and Nintendo games.

The problem also might be memory. I’m very selective on what games I buy digitally even with a micro sd card. Shovel knight digital? Fine. Skyrim? Nope. Even if the game is physical and most of it needs to be downloaded I’ll probably skip it.

Both resident evils and doom made it to the top 15

“It could be argued that digital sales reflect greater then physical sales”

That is not really true. If a game has a physical copy that releases the same day as the digital and costs the same. You can bet that physical sales will be higher. Digital sales are important to take into account as well but they not more representative.

Oh I see, it is true you can work out a rough ratio of digital reflecting physical sales in some sense. Was just making sure : )

Skyrim made it to the top ten and is in the best selling games of 2017 amazon list. It’s also still in the current top selling list.

Skyrim for Switch placed pretty high on the Amazon charts both during its launch and once the holidays were in full swing. Moreover, the game was fairly high in the eShop digital charts several times.

LA Noire performed poorly on all systems but the Switch version was, with regards to physical sales on par with the other versions.

I am not sure how Doom did, but even it made it to the eShop charts several times.

As for why these games are not in the eShop charts right now had to do with the fact that these charts show weekly changes in ranking. By just looking at this chart you might think that a game like Sonic Mania sold poorly on Switch but that doesn’t take into account the many months it was in the top 5.

Congratulations to HAMSTER Corporation! They have their very first number one game in the Switch’s Top 20 eShop Charts… Vs. Super Mario Bros. Let’s hope they’ll continue delivering MORE arcade and Neo-Geo games for the Switch in the future.
