3D action-platformer Protodroid DeLTA coming to Switch

After reaching its funding goal on Kickstarter, the Mega Man X-inspired 3D action-platformer Protodroid DeLTA will be released on Switch. Creator Adam Kareem has raised over $20,000 so far with three weeks remaining in the campaign.
Here’s an overview of the game:
Inspired by the SNES classic Megaman X, Protodroid: DeLTA is a 3D action-platformer set in a Solarpunk world with a hopeful yet nonutopian vision of the future. The goal of the project is to successfully translate the fast & fluid 2D gameplay of the X series into 3D
Story
Dr. Shelton has finally created one of the first Protodroids – a droid with near-human levels of intelligence. DeLTA was made to “be the change,” as her name suggests, that shows the world the promise of what AI can become. So Delta sets out to show the world that’s she’s more than ‘just a robot’ ”However, an attack on Dr. Shelton’s lab by a Drone-Gang Dr. Shelton forces her to enable DeLTAs combat subroutines and hurriedly retrofit her with weapons systems in self-defense. After DeLTA successful fends off the attackers, Dr. Shelton realizes that just as DeLTA saved her and the lab she could defend the entire region again’st the rising Drone-Gang threat that is claiming so many civilian lives. And by doing this she will and earn the city’s belief and affection. And that this may be the be the best way to convince the world that she’s “more than just a robot” and come to embrace the promise of what AI can become.
